a bit pricey, but lovely pub/restaurant, really nice staff. For a town that has made great efforts in developing their tourist business, to have a pond in the middle of the town full of rotting boats is certainly a misguided decision.

Lovely bar with great pub grub, friendly staff and a great beer garden with views over the lake. Dog friendly too which is a real plus.

Arboretum Kilquade

15/06/2025: Good garden centre although a little pricey. It has a nice coffee shop attached and also the gardens which form the National garden exhibition centre.
12/06/2025: The garden feels enchanted — a wonderful place for little ones to explore. The shop is charming but expensive, and the café, though also pricey, lacks the character of the rest of the place.
