First Breakfast in Ireland and we had a great time! The waitresses are adorable and our dog Tilki was very well received! He loved the bacon! Thank you for everything, it was wonderfully good 💚☘️

The food here was quite good - delicious chowder and veggy sandwich, but the service was appalling! We were the only customers in at lunchtime and were ignored for quite some time. When waitress finally came over to take our order, we asked what the soup special was as it was not on the menu. She slammed a specials board on our table and seemed quite annoyed.Later, when I asked if it was possible to get my sandwich as a wrap, she scolded me that it was clearly posted on the menu that this was not possible. She never asked how our food was, and never brought the bill. Just bizarre!

We enjoyed our fish and chicken supreme. Both are excellent, full of flavour, with a nice mixture of potatoes, legs and meat/fish. I asked for no potatoes but not possible as all mixed in. Very tasty though. Cash only.

No. 19 Restaurant

06/04/2025: "A little piece of heaven" was one of the comments made by our group of 17 who dined in No.19 last night. We had the restaurant to ourselves for a private party and from the opening welcome at the door by Sarah, to the end was a fantastic experience. Everyone's mains were superb.. the standout was the braised Ribs, which we were later told had been marinading for 3 days and cooked for 2!! Charcuterie to start and the selection of desspert tasters was the perfect finish. It was a fantastic experience and I would highly recommend. Thank you to Sarah and the team.
01/04/2025: We celebrated our engagement here 2025/3/30 and the staff was so friendly. I had an amazing steak and wonderful time. Highly recommend!

Blue Haven Restaurant

02/03/2025: I've heard many good things about Meeran Gani Manzoor's cooking in Rare at The Blue Haven. Any time I felt like trying, it seemed to be only available in tasting menu format. I experience tasting menus as a not very enjoyable posey rigmarole, so when an Indian pop-up - 2 or 3 courses - appeared as part of Kinsale Restaurant week, we went for it. We had a great time. There's always a good buzz in The Blue Haven, and tonight was no different. Stand out dishes were, Murgh Palken ( kolhapuri style chicken w spinach coriander and spices), Meen Polichadhu (haddock baked onion and tomato masala, Prawn Xacuti (fried shrimp w poppy seed and tamarind in coconut curry) but Rara Gosht (slow cooked lamb w onion tomato cardamom and clove garam masala) was superb. Chocolate Cardamom mouse, delicious. Often, in a group, someone's meal isn't great. Not tonight, four happy diners. I
