Went in for the first time for the Good Friday fish buffet yesterday. Kinda weird vibes to be honest, our server was very lovely and accommodating though. The manager was maybe stressed or something. Decor lovely and cosy.
The food offered at the buffet was tasty and had variety and is a great idea, but we were not told that there was an ending to the buffet, which seemed like it was 7/7.30pm as no fresh food came out after that and the main hot dishes were mostly gone when we went up for our second plate. For €45 a plate you’d hope for a bit more value, even an included glass of wine/pint would have been a treat for the price. Had a nice time but at quite a large cost for 2 and we would have arrived earlier if we knew we’d only have time for 1 fresh plate.
Had a lovely evening at the lobster pot. We were visiting Wexford for a few days from Dublin and cane across this cosy pub. The owner was so welcoming and service was excellent. Would definitely return.
Chicken wings have changed to a dry spicy sauce with a lime dip - wouldn't recommend
Roast beef and Bacon/Cabbage meals recommend
Perfect size portions and great quality
