We had an absolutely wonderful experience at The Lobster Pot in Wexford. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm and welcoming, and the food was simply outstanding.
A huge compliment to Chef Ania and her fantastic team. Every dish was beautifully presented, incredibly fresh, and full of flavour. You can really tell that great care and passion go into every meal they prepare.
The quality of the ingredients and attention to detail made our visit truly memorable. If you’re looking for delicious, fresh seafood and a lovely atmosphere, The Lobster Pot is a must-visit.
Thank you, Chef Ania and the whole team, for such an amazing dining experience. We can’t wait to come back!

I had the pleasure of staying in Carne, Co. Wexford for two nights in my cousin's beautiful mobile home a couple of weeks ago. A fantastic get away on my own with a relaxing feeling to the whole place. On the Sunday I booked a table for one in the lobster pot restaurant. Having never been there before myself I was apprehensive about my order even though I love fish, (but not buttery). So based on that I decided to go with the chicken wings from a very happy and jolly manager who constantly checked on his lovely staff to make sure they were all on the same page for their guests that afternoon. I thought it it was safe option but secretly hoping for a bit of a surprise. I asked for a starter portion but the manager suggested possibly the main course portion would be better value. I decided to go with that plan. As I had arrived early he offered me the window seat. On a stunning hot Sunday I was very happy with that decision. My glass of pinot grigio arrived and I was happy out watching lots of others arrive in for booked tables. My wings arrived with a portion of beautiful chips. After the first bite of the wings, I knew, I had made a great choice. They were soft, succulent but with a fabulous heat to them....might be too hot for some but for me they were just perfect. It's a good size portion for one, so I couldn't finish them and I made sure to bring the last four home with me. And they didn't disappoint later that evening. When I finished my meal I got another glass of wine and went straight across the road to a lovely little garden with seats and sat and relaxed there listening to the buzz from the people sitting outside the pub across the small narrow road. All in all, for me, it was an enjoyable and relaxing lunch with a lovely buzz around. I will definitely be back again.

A charming, pub-style restaurant near the sea.
A major disappointment was the “Irish Seafood Chowder,” which arrived with a good amount of “sea leg” (fake crab) in it. Not sure why a chef of a nice restaurant with high prices would think that fake crab (or fake anything) would be acceptable in a €14 bowl of chowder. Can’t recommend the place, because that’s a pretty major error. If you can’t afford crab, use other GENUINE seafood.

We were a large party with 12 adults and 2 children, and we had the most fantastic meal of a very high standard. The children's meal, was also of the same high standard and devoured! The food arrived quickly and hot, not easy for a large table, and was freshly cooked and delicious, Paul and his staff could not have been more helpful and professional.I really cannot praise this place more highly.
