Longcourt House Hotel in Newcastle west

Fabulous Hotel great food great service and very friendly place to go for any occasion.

This was the perfect spot to stay as it was centrally located for day trips all over the island. The restaurant and bar served great food and drinks.

We had our wedding here and we could never have had a better venue.. From start to finish the service was above and beyond anything we expected. We would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to everyone!!

Our room was very cosy and comfortable, the shower (over bath) was great, and the bed was good too. The (vegan) breakfast was fabulous - I enjoyed having table service and not having to queue at a buffet. Everyone we encountered during our stay was very friendly and helpful. Staff definitely make this hotel shine.

I really liked this hotel and the highlight is definitely the staff! We were stranded in heavy snowfall at the start of the month on our way to Killarney when we just about made it here and booked a room last minute - thankfully the last room! Even with our car stuck in the deep snow of the car park, staff were quick to come out and assist. The rooms were a little dated but clean and comfortable, the bar and restaurant is nice and the puddings especially good. Overall, we felt grateful for a place to stay and really enjoyed the hospitality here. Also lovely to walk around Newcastle West which was an unexpected stop on our trip of Ireland.

Good value for money rooms, the reception staff are friendly, meals are good and reasonably priced, restaurant staff are attentive and friendly

We ate here on Wednesday night when we had no power at home. The staff at the longcourt deserve great praise for how they managed some extremely busy days when esb networks offered a hot meal with dessert and hot beverage to those who were without power for a few days. It was extremely busy when we arrived at 5pm and were seated immediately and had only a short wait before getting served delicious food from start to finish. Even though the staff had a very busy day , they were all so pleasant and very efficient. It was very short notice for them to cater for such a high volume and they were absolutely fantastic. We cannot praise them enough. Fair play to everyone involved.

We stopped here for dinner on a Sunday evening, we didn't have a reservation but they happily fit us in. Service was good, staff were friendly. It was clean and tidy and the security man at the front door was polite and friendly. The kids commented after that the goujons were a bit dry but apart from that it was all good. During our meal, a member of staff came to inform us that there was a story telling session in another room of the hotel if our daughter wanted to join, it was such a nice gesture.

Perfect location for a night out in Newcastle west, friendly staff, very helpful. Breakfast was 10/10
