Its not one of the highest rated afternoon teas in Dublin for no reason! Can't fault anything. Usually theres something on one of the tears I dont enjoy at an afternoon tea, but this was the first time i enjoyed everything! Tea/coffee selection was really good, though I have seen larger menus. I highly recommend

I brought my mom for very 1st time to experience Afternoon Tea in Lord Mayor’s Lounge at The Shelbourne hotel. Together with her and also my sister in law and little niece we had amazing experience, everything was delicious, the desserts looks fairytale and taste heavenly, we been completely spoiled by our waitress Karla and lovely Imelda. Thank you so much girls for everything.

Wonderful high tea experience with my wife and daughter. My wife who is gluten free was accommodated as I gave them a note during booking on OpenTable of her food allergies. The items were as close as possible to the regular (gluten) items. The staff is very attentive and accommodating. It was a wonderful experience and the tea, sandwiches and pastries served were excellent.

An excellent spot for high tea in Dublin! This hotel has a rich and impressive history in the city. They have three times for tea - 12pm, 2pm(or 3? Can’t remember) and 5pm. You have about 2 hours there and the food and tea are unlimited! Of course the scones are to die for, but don’t sleep on the egg salad sandwiches!

16/08/2025: Recently wandered in on a quiet Saturday afternoon after a long walk out from city centre and before returning back to Spain. I had the best turkey and ham dinner ever....it was like having my Christmas dinner early.....perfect in every way and served by a very professional server named Emma I think. Don't know when I'll be back...but I will....please don't change in the meantime. I also love their idea of Spanish Tapas.....next time eh!

19/04/2025: So I'm a big fan of this pub, has always been great, a really nice pint. But went in tonight, €7.10 for a pint of Guinness? Utter rip off. This is why no one can afford to go out anymore.
30/03/2025: What makes this place standout is the warm welcome and hospitality of the owners, a husband and wife team. Simply put, they are that couple who’ve been married 30+ years, who care about their business and they care that diners have a memorable visit well worth the reasonable cost. We were on a Trafalgar tour and had a great meal with desserts, coffees, and choice of cocktails. The servings were huge and I loved the berry cobbler!
