Very cozy café with good food and delicious cakes on offer. The staff was very nice. There is a bookcase at the back of the shop and you can buy small regional things.

First timers and holiday makers here. My mum, two children under the age of 6 and I had a bite to eat here. Staff were friendly and kid friendly. My mum chose the Soup of the day which was vegetable at €6.50. The children shared a toasted ham and cheese sandwich €7 (served with complimentary raisins: a nice touch) and I savoured a creamy fishy chowder at €8.95. The cakes, especially the coffee cake, looked tempting but we resisted on this occasion. Lovely feel to the place and nicely decorated for the season of Halloween. You can buy bits and bobs here also eg soap, Turkish delight, rock etc. Parking across the road. Recommended if you are in the area.

Very enjoyable reasonably priced lunch - home made fish pie and fresh salad. Relaxed atmosphere, quirky nic nacs and splendid friendly staff. Really boosted the day out in Co Mayo

Gaffney's Restaurant

27/10/2024: Food 5 out 5 Beautiful with a venue not without its charm which they should totally advertise. The seafood tagliatelle was yum. This place is missing a beat with its environmental sustainability initiatives in an ever so gentle way taking locals on their journey. Reusable napkins, local food and young local staff with locals fiercely protecting these young people by coming here. They should provide little notes all over the place telling their story. Id love if they would try out a monthly jazz, celtic fusion and new music chosen by the staff . Dessert was grand but why not a trio or crackers and brandy.
24/08/2024: Always an excellent night out! The seafood is fresh and deliciously cooked, the mussels in cream and crispy calamari to start, absolutely divine. We had the chef special pasta, seafood pasta and the surf and turf tonight. Couldn’t be happier with it - the banoffee and crumble are favourites. The pizza is great, especially the seafood. Eve and Mia were absolutely lovely. Thanks Orla for a delicious meal!
