Luca's in Letterkenny

We are visiting Letterkenny, from Tipperary. Yes, it's a long way but eating at Luca's is nearly worth walking from Tipperary. We were just going to have pizza, cooked perfectly in a massive wood fired oven but the flavoursome, extensive menu tempted us elsewhere. Pick any item on their menu and you will not be disappointed. Serving staff excellent. Food quality excellent. I also note a spirits and cocktail bar. We booked a table for two and from 1830 the area filled up quickly. Well done to ALL staff, front of house and in the kitchens.

Good portion size but an expensive place to eat for sure! 3/5 so above average. Accommodating of a youngster (1ish).

Dropped in to Luca's without a booking and was easily accommodated with my 2 boys 12yrs old. We had pizza's which were very tasty and enjoyed by all. Empty plates all round. Staff are very friendly and polite. When I'm in Letterkenny again I will be stopping by again.

First time here and absolutely loved it! The burgers were juicy, the food was delicious, and the dessert was the perfect sweet ending!!!!!

Hidden gem in letterkenny. It's not often you can leave a resteraunt feeling impressed all round. Lovely ambient setting. Staff very attentive . Polite . Watching them work as a team was impressive. Food is slightly on the expensive side but well worth it. Large portions. I opted for the texan bbq burger and skinny fries. Well cooked and presentation was on form. I will definitely be back.

We recently were staying in Letterkenny and while out walking we seen this restaurant so checked it out and it had good reviews so decided to go out for our dinner that evening. It was a good choice. It was fairly busy when we arrived and we hadn't got a booking but we were shown to our table fairly swiftly. The service was great. The girls were very professional and friendly. We got talking with one of the ladies after our meals about scuba diving and snorkeling etc and she was very polite and charming and it really nice that it wasn't just a case of OK here is your food... next!! We both had different meals and desserts and all dishes were well presented and more importantly tasted really good. I had the chilli beef pasta..... Finger licking good guys.

I visited here with a couple of pals a month ago, I ordered a lasagna and it was very good but a bit overpriced. Young waitress with black hair was very friendly and checked on us regularly. An older waitress with a bun in her hair was very impatient when we were deciding what to eat and came across quite rude on several occasions.Overall I was generally pleased with our service.
