Lyrath Estate Hotel in

My Fiancée and I absolutely love staying at the Lyrath. We have stayed there four times within the last two years. That says a lot, given we like to stay in different places. Every single detail seems to be looked at with precision. The decor is fabulous, a lovely warm atmosphere everywhere you look, doesn’t matter where you are in the hotel, you feel so relaxed and in a sense, at home with yourself. We stayed in the signature suite for the second time, good value and a fabulous room with stunning views. Moving onto the food, our favourite part. The grill restaurant upstairs is where we always dine. The prawns to start and either the fillet steak or the ribs for main is a must try. 10 out of 10 for the quality of their steak and ribs. They could do with upping their game with their deserts, but still not bad. The bar area is a lovely are to chill out, either for lunch or post dinner drinks. If you can get a seat beside the open fire, do so. Bliss! The chicken wings and chips for Lunch is always our go to. Yum! I have to say tho, it’s their staff that make the experience at this hotel so delightful. Iv never stayed at a hotel where every single staff member are so attentive, friendly and so professional at what they do. They are obviously very well trained and you can sense a real pride from them in what they do. They must be well Looked after, because all of the team Seem very happy to be working there. Kilkenny town is a great town to have on your door step while staying at the lyrath. Lots to do and see in Kilkenny. Thank you so much guys for yet again, looking after us so well. Can you please thank the girls in the spa for been so accommodating to us. You are all just so nice and brilliant.

Food was fabulous but service exceptional. Music and atmosphere so enjoyable.. staff a credit to the hotel. Definitely be back to stay next time. Only dinner and drinks. Definitely 5 star

My husband and I stayed here overnight. Smooth process of check-in and check-out... Fast room food service. The room is squeaky clean with a bathtub. We stayed on the 1st floor so we are near the swimming pool area. I enjoyed the temperature of the pool, the jacuzzi, and the clean shower room!❤️ The food is fantastic and the serving is generous. We will stay in Lyrath again! Oh btw, you can bring your bikes to explore the place too. The place is kid-friendly too! ❤️

I had an afternoon here in the spa. Having been to the Heritage in Killenard, I wouldn't choose to retutn to Lyrath for the spa facilities. However, the Hot Stone Massage treatment was exemplary !

Just the 1 night stay ,as it was a gift . Will be returning for a longer stay .

Stayed here recently for my 4th time. From the moment I arrived, my experience, as always, was amazing. The property is stunning, with beautiful surroundings and flawless service. We were upgraded to a suite due to a slight issue with our own room and it was absolutely stunning. The spa is out of this world and the skilled therapists are fantastic. Dining was equally exceptional. For me, what truly stood out, was the staff - warm, attentive and made you feel almost as if you were home. Cannot wait to return.

Overall a lovely stay in the Lyrath. We stayed in a Manor House Guestroom which was gorgeous and had really nice views of the gardens. Booked the thermal suites for a late afternoon slot and essentially had the place to ourselves. The grounds of the estate are immaculate and the guided walks were lovely. Only complaint we had was that the bar food stops at 6:30pm, forcing anyone wishing to dine in the hotel up to The Grill steakhouse. Do think this is a bit brazen, especially for a mid-week stay when you might prefer to opt for some more casual dining! Was an opinion we heard other guests also voice so might be one for the hotel to revisit.

Our experience has been very positive all weekend, warm and friendly reception, beautiful premises, very spacious spaces (bedrooms, bathrooms, bar and reception areas). The proximity to Kilkenny is perfect. The guided trails around the estate very clear and clean. Really enjoyed the leisure centre and the spa also. The bedrooms are so quiet, we had the best sleep. We will be back :)
