Ma Murphy's in Bantry legal town

What can one say? It's the real deal as far as traditional irish pubs go. I've never had food here though, just drink.

One place which is on the Bantry Bucket list. It's a favourite with tourists, the authenticity of the place. Being able to walk back in time gives it the appeal, tourists and the trusty regulars love about the place. As my American friends said while have a Murphys, "Imagine the stories these walls and cobbled stone walk way can tell".

Very good fresh chicken wings with homemade barbecue sauce. Murphys serves it perfectly. Nice service, rustic atmosphere

Quirky pub.. bit spit and sawdust.. nice staff.. if you don't expect a posh pub it's great and garden area a plus.. prob best bar in town.. but the town is like the truman show

We stopped there while strolling the streets, nice surprise, traditional pub with its beer garden, friendly staff, fair price.

Fantastic atmosphere, really friendly- best pub in Bantry - the snug area is magic and a decent pint of Murphy’s too, very old fridge, possibly oldest in Ireland, maybe older then Newgrange, anyway I digress, great pub

Visited last week. Met my son there around 1 pm (daytime drinking) not many people there but the old world set up of pub is really nice. Not much has changed in there in over 40 yrs and creates a great ambience The server was from Dublin was very nice.
