My fiance and I live in NYC and we came to Cork for one night and MacCurtains made us wish we could stay longer! We met Trudy and Grace and were wowed by the nibbles and the amazing selection of wine! My only complaint is that there is no longer open in the US (yet). Thanks so much for the amazing time!

One of my favourite wine spots in Cork. Super friendly, knowledgeable staff, fantastic atmosphere and an amazing wine selection. Highly recommend if you are a wine lover!

What a find! The staff couldn’t have been nicer. I came in on my own and they found me a seat and helped me pick my glasses of wine. Super welcoming and a lovely vibe in the place. I’ll be back to buy some bottles to take home!

Had a wonderful couple hours here. Great wines and the best service. Staff was super welcoming, accommodating, and let us taste wines we weren’t familiar with and recommended choices to our personal palettes. Small plates were amazing. Trained chef makes them look beautiful and the quality is A++. Don’t hesitate to stop here for a couple of glasses of great wine and delicious bites to either tide you over or simply take place of your dinner, like we did! Lover of wine? Visit here! We were traveling from the US but we could tell locals loved this place too and they had regulars. Love that! Photo of the buffalo mozzarella with beef. Wish I had taken more photos!

Mutton Lane Inn

24/03/2025: I walked straight by it initially, but once I finally noticed it, I was very happy. Unique pub experience. The lane way has lovely art and covers you from the wind.

Tucked away in a small alley off Patrick Street, it has a unique, old-world charm that makes you feel like you’ve stepped into a piece of history. The dim lighting, candlelit atmosphere, and stunning mural outside all add to its character. The selection of drinks is fantastic, with a great range of local craft beers, whiskeys, and stouts. The staff are always friendly and welcoming, making it a perfect spot whether you’re a local or just visiting. There’s no loud music or TVs, which makes it an ideal place for good conversation over a pint. If you’re in Cork and looking for an authentic Irish pub experience with charm, history, and great drinks, The Mutton Lane Inn is a must-visit!

Okura Japanese Cuisine

27/03/2025: The cook is great. Delicious. Very tasty. But very expensive, even by local standards. Dirty. The waiters were completely out of it, they brought something that wasn't ours, or didn't bring what we ordered. The robot didn't work. In short, I liked it overall. But I'll think about going there next time.
26/03/2025: Wide and varied menu. Not just sushi, there is something for everybody. The outside is deceptive, it is a lovely warm venue , nice atmosphere . Restaurant staff are excellent . There were five of us and we had a few special requests. Each one was catered for and remembered by the staff. good children’s menu . sitting at the chef’s table is entertaining if there is just two of you.
