What a fantastic wine bar. The atmosphere is warm, stylish, and relaxed, making it the perfect place to unwind with friends or enjoy a date night. The wine selection is excellent, with something for every taste and budget, and the staff are incredibly knowledgeable without being pretentious. They took the time to recommend wines based on our preferences, and every suggestion was spot on. The food was equally impressive, with delicious sharing plates that paired perfectly with the wines. Service was attentive throughout the evening, and the overall experience felt welcoming and unhurried. Special shoutout to Craig, Grace and Clara. If you’re looking for great wine, great food, and a lovely atmosphere, this place is a real gem. Highly recommended.

MacCurtain Wine Cellar was a lovely stop before dinner and a nice change from the usual pub scene. The space is bright and inviting, with plenty of natural light coming through the large windows, making it a great spot to relax with a glass of wine in the late afternoon. The food offering is fairly limited, but the wine selection is extensive and clearly the main attraction. One thing I particularly appreciated was how the wines are organised. Rather than focusing solely on grape varieties or regions, they're grouped by taste and texture profiles, which makes choosing much more approachable for those who know what styles they enjoy but aren't necessarily wine experts. The four of us ended up spending €111.50 before tips, which felt reasonable given the quality and range available. Overall, a cute and welcoming wine bar that offers something a little different from the many beer-focused pubs around Ireland. Definitely worth a visit if you're in Cork and fancy a glass of wine in a relaxed setting.

Fantastic staff, wines, and bites

Been a customer for a while now. The service, from the quality and value of the wine, to the inviting staff has been nothing short of outstanding. Can't recommend this place enough.

First time here! What I can say? Incredible vibe and atmosphere. Nice background music, incredible plates do share and the wine list is available for glass and bottles with a big list for different times of occasions and tastes. HIGLY recommend. At the top of it, staff very friendly and with knowledge about the wines on the list. 5/5 all the way.
