MacNean House in Blacklion

Booking/check in wasn't great. I was very clear with the booking requirements well in advance via email, they still messed it up. As a result, I had to deal with the family issue aftermath whilst celebrating a family evening - Not great. Food was lovely. They respect food allergies which is great. There was an anticlimax an hour an a half after the meal. It was a Tuesday night - 1 year wait for a reservation and €400+ per person. Last orders was 11:30ish, we all wanted a drink afterwards & couldn't get one. No residents bar. The cost and no residents bar, the tortorous drive isn't worth it. If you live near this place, go visit for a special event.

Absolutely the best experience ever. Staff were amazing and the food was just stunning. Beyond 5 stars in my opinion!

For me the friendliness of the staff set us up for a truly amazing experience. The food was absolutely delicious, a work of art. Attention to detail was like no other I’ve experienced. When you are not rushed through a meal you feel pampered and spoiled. I’m taking a star only because it was a journey for us. I’m looking forward to returning.

Outstanding, if we could give it 10 stars we would. Is our third time here and worth the journey, and the prices. Local Irish produce, cooked beyond perfection and such a homely atmosphere.

Wow! What a wonderful time we spent in this marvellous restaurant. The plates we chosed were the very best, both seabass, duck, venison, beef and all the other food we had. So beautifully arranged, specially the duck in five different ways. Good portions, so we had more than enough. The service was excellent, as the room and the ambiance. We will surely come back, even as the one of us came all the way from Norway. 🤩 Thanks a lot for this gourmet experience❣️

Back again after 9 years and never fails to deliver. It's been extended now with 20 rooms and an outside covered courtyard but it's the food you go thete for. Sure it's out of the way but only about 40 mins from Cavan or Sligo, a stones throw from Enniskillen you've got Marble Arch Caves and the Cuilcaghs with all they have to explore.

Recently had my first visit to McNean House, and I will definitely be back! The service and staff were absolutely amazing and the food…the food was simply phenomenal!!

We sat down for the taster menu and it was delicious. If you're a foody in any shape or form you'll enjoy the experience. First time there and would gladly go again in the future. Best food I've ever eaten.
