Great pub, with surprisingly great food and very friendly staff. We happened to be driving past and were seated immediately, even though it was very busy (seems to be a large family celebration). The fish we were served was delicious. Highly recommended and a little insider tip.

We were on a stag about 3 weeks ago and randomly stopped in here when we were passing, the service was amazing! we hadn't planned any food but after a quick chat with the staff they had a scatter of platters up in front of us which was definitely the soakage we needed. the food was fantastic, the pints went down far to easy and the staff were a pleasure, it was all our first time there but I don't think any of us will pass by without calling in again in the future. thanks for accommodating us. The chowder here is absolutely insanely good! In the states it would need to be at a 4 star restaurant and it would cost triple. The bread is perfect, the dish is perfect. Unbelievable.

Weavers Rest

01/07/2025: 2yrs ago I visited Weavers and had scone&coffee and as I had eaten dinner there 3 times in few months and wasn't impressed, I decided never again.... So two years later...On end june 2025, myself and a friend called in for dinner and the place looked lovely and more cosy, the staff were very friendly, efficient and helpful as they always are and the food was delicious. I had beef stroganoff with rice&chips and my friend had beef with gravy, chips&salad. (Chips here are moreish) Both dinners were Yum! We then ordered chocolate cake,icecream,cream and tiramisu,icecream,cream and coffee. Both again were delicious. Really delighted that Weavers have upped their game and I will be meeting more friends there soon.
