I got a sausage roll which was nice. My partner got a waffle with banana , and a tiny Dribble of Nutella. The waffle was stone cold so exchange it for a apple crumble, which was ok. Had to go back and ask for a refund. We also witnessed one member of staff handling food with there Bare hands while using the cash register and making coffees , so that was a Red flag. Staff are lovely Though.

There was no queue when we arrived so we were seated promptly. A good menu choice, disappointed there were no chips or wedges. We ordered chicken salad, fish cakes and tea for two but we had to ask the waiter twice for milk, otherwise the food was delicious. I visited the men’s toilet but was met with a bad smell of urine, the toilet area was not clean, the soap dispenser was empty and the bin was overflowing with paper.

Breathtaking little gift shop, with absolutely lovely staff. Very patient and willing to help with anything that was needed. The cafe next door was brilliant as well. A little pricy for what you get, but definitely worth a stop if you’d like a quick bite.

Very nice small cafe. Lovely staff - service is very fast. I had the ham and cheese, tomato and onion panini. It was delicious with a nice side of crisps. Would return if doing a tour of Tara again!

We stopped here after visiting the Hill of Tara on a very wet day. I was pleased with the gluten free selection (I had an almond bar, which was nicely filling and very tasty). Nice atmosphere too.

Weston Restaurant

25/09/2025: Really delicious, amazing food. Great value.
24/09/2025: Perfect coffee or lunch venue based at Weston Airport on the western fringes of Dublin city. The slight detour off the M4 at Lucan leads to a substantial and convenient car park. The restaurant is upstairs at the terminal building with unobstructed views over the runways and south Dublin. Dine in luxury whilst the children and aviation enthusiasts enjoy the action outside. An extensive menu provides a treat for the diner. A quick coffee and scone is also available at the often busy coffee dock on the ground floor.

Paddy's Bar and Restaurant

27/12/2024: I've been putting off writing this review because the prospect of saying everything that needs to be said is daunting. Maybe impossible. And also because I nominated them for a wedding venue award, which took awhile. My wife and I had our wedding and reception here in October for about 30 people. The atmosphere was perfect - cozy and intimate but not overcrowded or stuffy. It felt comfortable and homey but not cheap. A quintessential country pub, with all the tradition that carries. The food was incredible (spit-roasted local lamb over an open hearth turf fire, anyone?), the photographer was great, and the music (both live and DJ) was sincerely amazing. Everything was included in the wedding package, even two nights at a stunning cottage overlooking the lough. But Naoise, the coordinator, truly sent it over the top. She was constantly available, proactively engaged, and just went miles above and beyond to remove the stress of planning a wedding from overseas. I cannot speak highly enough of this place. They made us feel somehow simultaneously celebrated and part of the community. It was a perfect wedding. Absolutely perfect. If you're looking for a genuine human experience from an alternative microwedding venue that boasts waterfront dining in a rural Gaeltacht community, this is your spot. We laughed, we cried, we danced, and we cannot stop talking about it. It might not be my home, but it now occupies a suspiciously home-shaped place in my heart. Naoise, we'll be back!
