Maldron Hotel Portlaoise in

Outside Old Trafford they have a statue of Sir Matt , outside St James pk they have a statue of Sir Bobby Robson. Outside the Maldron in Port Laois they should have a Statue of Josh. Had to change the dates of the stay due to a family bereavement. Josh sorted it. Checked in with ease. Josh sorted it Checked out with ease Josh sorted it Booked a standard room, it's massive really comfy, spotless clean. Dinner was lovely, Breakfast was unreal great choices and Hotel parking is easy and free. Thanks for a great stay. Really enjoyed it.

Great place for the family and I to spend a night away, great restaurant and a fantastic swimming pool. Not too far from portlaoise town where there are many shops, bars and restaurants to choose from. Also a short drive from the hotel is the famous rock of dunamase. These old ruins are in a very strategic position on a high hill over Laois and further a field. Sadly destroyed by Cromwells forces but they tell a tale of a much different time in Ireland

We stayed in this hotel on Saturday night. The staff were lovely, the hotel is spotlessly clean. The restaurant was very good value. And a small issue was resolved immediately- really excellent service!

The only goodness of this place were the employees, Alessia & Ausra whom I would rate as a "10"! They went above and beyond to assist us with a room issue being too cold and unable to change due to no thermostat controls. We would not return to this hotel/brand as it felt cheap. The walls were paper thin and we were fortunate that we had quiet neighbors.

Thank you for a wonderful 2 night's in the Maldron, lovely staff, great location. Rooms spotless. Thank you Alessia on reception, we left a child's comforter behind us, Alessia checked for us and a day later phoned with good news it was found, posted it to me and all was well. I would certainly recommend this hotel.

I was not staying at the hotel but visiting for a meeting. Alessia at reception was so helpful and assisted us with printing that we needed done for work. Alessia was friendly and went out of her way to assist us. The hotel looks like a lovely place to stay and i would recommend it to anyone. Thank you Alessia.

Extremely good experience. Attended a meeting also in the hotel & had some lunch, food was absolutely Devine! Couldn’t have a bad thing to say about food, staff or service.
