Maldron Hotel Portlaoise in

We had a fantastic meal at the hotel restaurant. The food was absolutely 100%—fresh, delicious, and cooked perfectly. Every dish was full of flavour and exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to our server, Jasmine, who was so friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our meal. She made us feel well looked after and really added to the overall experience. We would definitely recommend this restaurant and will happily return the next time we’re here!

Im staying at this hotel for 8 weeks due to work commitments from the UK. The hotel is fabulous, the staff are great always friendly and talkative. I would like to mention Jasmine in particular she always speaks and is very polite.

Really enjoyed our stay, lovely clean comfortable hotel, great buffet breakfast. Special mention to Jasmine in the restaurant who was so friendly and made our dinner enjoyable, the food was great but the service was fantastic !

We arrived for our weekend away for my mom’s birthday. I do have to say the girls Justine and Rachel, in receptions went above and beyond with my mom birthday decorations for the bedroom, the accommodations staff Iyrina who decorated the room was really good, haven’t missed anything as the bedroom extremely clean and comfortable ☺️ the food & beverage staff Kate, Roisin and Soushil, they even went beyond and above, that our water was topped up, ensuring if we okay with everything, they took the time to chat with us for abit. They are excellent staff who had paid so much attention to their guests needs.

She was incredibly welcoming, attentive, and ensured that our dining experience was seamless from start to finish. Her friendly energy and professional approach truly stood out. ​The culinary experience was equally impressive. Soushil did an outstanding job—the food was absolutely delicious, beautifully presented, and cooked to perfection. It’s clear that a lot of passion and skill goes into the kitchen here. ​The combination of great hospitality and excellent food made our visit memorable. We will definitely be back, and we highly recommend looking out for Soushil and Kate if you want a top-tier dining experience!

This is our second stay here. Great spot. Nice food. Misplaced my purse in the loo and was picked up by staff and returned safely thanks to Kate, Roisin and Sushil from the bar staff. Only one complaint I have about this hotel is that I really wish that their small double beds were bigger. It's a right squeeze for 2 adults.

Absolutely spectacular dining experience this evening after a long hard work day. So lovely to kick back with colleagues and enjoy good food, service and ambience. Thank you to Soushil, Jasmine and Amelie

Staying here week to week over a long period of time for work must say I’m always very satisfied. On check in justyna , rachel and alessia are so good and so quick to get me checked into to my room and will always make me feel comfortable and content the moment I walk in the door . Food and beverage is excellent . Breakfast starts early which suits me for my work perfectly. Upon arrival at breakfast I’m greeted with a friendly good morning by renata , jasmine and Alisha and are fast to get me seated . Dinner is fantastic with an exciting menu and no matter what order I get the food is presented and cooked perfectly to my standards . Soushil and Jamie escort me to my table and hand me my menu and the moment is sit down and Daragh always without fail has my drink on the table in front of me ! Gym and leisure centre is great well equipped gym and clean and spacious pool while Genevieve is there to keep you safe ! Staying in the Maldron portlaoise makes me feel genuinely cared and looked after and the staff there feel less like employees and more like my friends. Highly highly recommend!!!

We booked here for a stay recently as we had an event in Kildare. The rooms were spotless, loads of parking and the food was lovely. In particular, the breakfast, there was a huge choice and everything was fresh. The staff were fabulous, unfortunately, even though we had booked partly because of the pool, we couldn't use it as my daughter had sustained a foot injury just prior to our visit. She was so disappointed and when she mentioned this to the staff, they were extra attentive and kind. We will be back and will be sure to review the pool facilities next time!

I stayed before ( room on first floor) and usually was fine. This time unfortunately got a ground floor room looking towards Hotel entrance. Didn't have any problems with the room , but some drunks gathering in front of the Hotel were quite loud nearly all night. Obviously sleeping, or no security at all. And surprising to me was that even reception didn't notice anything .... Didn't want to make a big fuss about it , but this time ,my experience was disappointing. Goran Zgaga
