Maldron Hotel Sandy Road Galway in Galway

We had a great 3 days here in October, hotel is a 15 minute walk from Eyre Square, easy access to other points of Galway. Family rooms were a great size and the breakfast was really good too

Good hotel, very convenient location for touring around Galway. Lady at breakfast each was fantastic. Good for a short stay.

We had the deluxe twin room it was spacious for 2 adults and 2 small kids it was clean and quiet it was on the 3rd floor. bathroom was very clean , toilet rolls and teabags, coffee and sugar were topped up every day. there was a hairdryer, iron and fridge. there is no central light and the room seems dark at first but you can turn all the lamps upside down and this makes it bright enough. lots of shops near and 20 minute walk to Eyre square, We would stay again. 385 euro for 3 nights 2 adults and 2 kids under 5 years

Went there for a conference, was met with a rude reception person, with no reception skills, but everithing else was good enough.

Great location, free parking. Price was very fair. I just missed a small fridge in the room. Would highly recommend.

Maldron Hotel Sandy Road was a lovely stay! From the moment we arrived, the staff were very kind and went above and beyond to help us. The rooms were very spacious and clean. The location is really good too as this hotel is walking distance from the Latin Quarter. The only issue was the hotel room didn’t have a fridge, so this was inconvenient when it came to storing leftovers. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Galway :)

Super lovely hotel Jordan was amazing and very helpful. But absolutely deplorable behavior from Haley came here with food poisoning from the hospital vomitting all day and she laughed at me when I asked for a toothbrush and lied saying they didn’t have any. Meanwhile Jordan apologized and brought everything up to me with no fees. Haley looked stunned when I asked her to bring me water and acted like it was a chore to bring the tray in the room. Very weird mean high schooler behavior that girl needs a reality check and a factory job where people don’t have to be subjected to her evil. Jordan + the room are 5 stars though! Thank you Jordan for fixing that for me now all Maldron needs is to fire that Haley!

What can I say? Great location, great staff, great rooms, and delicious food, especially breakfast!

Located on the main street, it's generally noisy. Rooms facing the courtyard aren't much quieter, as the cooling units are located there. Breakfast is very good.

Everything is top-notch. Free parking, rooms with air conditioning and a refrigerator. It may be a bit outside the center, but it's easily accessible by bus.
