Maldron Hotel Sandy Road Galway in Galway

I had the pleasure of enjoying the breakfast buffet, and it was truly a delightful experience. The variety of options was impressive, catering to all tastes and dietary preferences. The staff was attentive and ensured that the buffet was well-stocked and clean throughout the morning. The ambiance was cozy and inviting, making it a perfect start to the day. I would like to highlight Aoife, Karen and Luis. Warmly greeting guests with a friendly smile and personalized welcome; making sure they maintain a clean and organized breakfast area. Overall, I highly recommend the breakfast buffet at Maldron Sandy Road for anyone looking for a tasty and satisfying morning meal.

Was lovely hotel very clean and spacious rooms but the noise level at night time due to location was terrible hardly slept 1st night

I feel like the rooms are regular, bathroom was nice. The location is not too bad, a little far from the city tho depending on how far walking distance is for someone because we walked 20 mins to the city which is not too bad for a new yorker. They have a gas station that’s open 24/7 that was really convenient. They don’t have a fridge in the room sadly. My only concern is the front desk females they don’t greet you when they see you or at the door. They just ignore you and talk amongst themselves which I think is unprofessional. But there were also a bunch of other employees that were sweet and smiled and say hi when they see you which i appreciated. Also my mom and i stayed for two nights and the first night it was hard for us to sleep cause we heard like a phone buzzing constantly coming from the other room. The next night though thank god it stopped. The comforters on the bed by the way are sooo warm and cozy maybe a little too cozy lol my mom and i would sweat every night with the blankets and room blasting ac but i think that’s a good thing . I also did a tour with my mom and they picked us from the hotel which was a blessing cause we had no transportation but our feet. Still had a pleasant stay over all thank you!

Restaurant has lovely food and staff are super friendly and helpful. Shout out to Ethan at Reception who was super and welcome Oisin and thank you also.

Breakfast was really a disaster. Rooms and location are okay

I stayed here with my husband and another couple whilst visiting Galway. We stayed for four nights and our sleep was disturbed EVERY night with people shouting, running up and down the corridors and door slamming! I had to telephone security twice one evening before they dealt with the problem adequately and the people that were not guests of the hotel were asked to leave the room. Security needs to be better within the hotel to prevent people not staying in the hotel having access to the bar and then running like lunatics around the hotel. The FIRE doors on the first floor were not closed which, apart from being a fire hazard, did nothing to dull the noise of screaming and shouting from reception travelling up through the atrium to the bedrooms on the first floor. All in all, unless you don't mind be woken in the early hours of the morning by late night revellers or are going to be one of the revellers, I wouldn't recommend this hotel which is a real shame as, apart from the other guests and the lack of control security had, the staff were great, the room was clean and spacious and the breakfast was plentiful, tasty and hot.

Great hotel and very clean rooms in Galway City. I recommend this hotel when you stay in Glaway.

About 10-15 minute drive from town center and not a lot of walkable restaurants and bars. Lots of tour buses come here so bar can get quite lively. Restaurant has pretty good food, but limited menu.

Absolutely brilliant hotel 5 mins from main town.food is gorgeous breakfast was the best I have seen loads to choose from.from the menu there's lots of different food to choose from and very good price wise.rooms the room have air conditioning and are spotless clean and rooms a big also .all staff are brilliant at there jobs from reception full of smiles to bar and waiting staff the hotel has a lovely relaxing atmosphere and all staff really go out of there way to make you feel very welcoming.would I return yesterday I would in fact I don't think you would find a more better hotel in Galway with that kind of staff. Well done to the managers it's that kind of training that makes a big difference.👍👍
