Located on the main street, it's generally noisy. Rooms facing the courtyard aren't much quieter, as the cooling units are located there.
Breakfast is very good.

Everything is top-notch. Free parking, rooms with air conditioning and a refrigerator. It may be a bit outside the center, but it's easily accessible by bus.

Lovely hotel especially with kids. We had two double beds on the 1st floor. We had breakfast and the food was nice and the staff were friendly and accomodaing. The manager asked if our kids would like pancakes and she brought them out a few mins later and they were delighted. One of the waitress was also nice enough to make a hot chocolate for my boy between a million other jobs she had going. The manager was so friendly too playing with our two boys and got them biscuits when leaving breakfast. Hotel is 20 minute to centre or you can hop on the 407 bus which goes in and out to Eyre sq every hours for 3.70euros for 2 adults. So handy. Plenty of shops along the way too. Parking was made easy too with a lift from floor -1 to reception. Highly recommend The Maldron.

Great staff, easy parking, very good restaurant. The room was a bit dark and the carpet stained, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the comfortable bed. 20 minute walk to Eyre Square.

We stayed at this hotel with my fiancé. The staff’s work was excellent. A comfortable stay without worries or stress. The rooms were very nice and cozy. What disappointed us was the lack of variety in the food. Powdered omelette for breakfast? No porridge, no variety of drinks. Breakfasts are quite pricey, but you get comparatively little in return. The menu for other meals wasn’t impressive either.

In sharp contrast to their Dublin locations, this seems more like a transit hotel where tourist busses are loaded and unloaded everyday. This can be the reason why the rooms are not so well cleaned, why you find hair in the mini fridge, shower or under the pillows. The breakfast is simple, lacking any fresh vegetables, only beans, sausages, bacon and the usual egg mixture. The coffee is watered down and often, because of the volume of tourists waiting to get something on their plate, you have to wait for the kind personnel to refill the buffet. In the rooms, the central air conditioning system barely functions. We got a room on the ground floor where the window cannot be opened. There is no fresh air. Their ventilation system doesn't work because the bathroom constantly filles up with cigarette smoke from the tourists that smoke in their bathrooms (as not to trigger the smoke detectors). Extremely unpleasant. This is perhaps why, all throughout the hotel, the carpets seem to be sprayed with some kind of heavy perfume, to mask this cigarette smell. It's not the personnel's fault, they are and were extremely helpful and kind, but when you daily deal with such tourist volumes... Won't be coming back to Maldron for these reasons.

Convenient hotel for reaching Galway city center in 15-20 minutes on foot. The room was spacious and clean. Free on-site parking is available, including on the day of departure. Delicious breakfast with freshly baked pancakes, fresh fruit, and pastries. The only downside was the price: €260 per night for a quadruple room.
