Maldron Hotel Shandon Cork City in Cork

The hotel is clean, and on this occasion, quiet. The curtains do not exclude light sufficiently. We had to change rooms as there was a plumbing problem in our first room--the hot water tap in the tub would not turn off and whistled, loudly, and the cold water tap did not work at all. There were problems with the door to the room one and the door to the bathroom in the other: They dragged on the floor, which for the bathroom made it very difficult to close the door. The food for breakfast was mediocre. Fresh fruit was good, but scrambled eggs were not. The coffee was not good and we needed to go to a nearby coffee house to have a decent coffee.
