Mannions in New ross

I recently had a Sunday roast that left me with mixed feelings. The beef was just okay—tender enough but lacking in flavor and seasoning, which made it a bit forgettable. On the other hand, the chicken was a pleasant surprise: juicy, well-cooked, and packed with flavor. It definitely outshone the beef. The vegetables were a bit of a letdown—overcooked and under-seasoned, they didn’t add much to the plate and no roast potatoes, Thankfully, things picked up with dessert, which was a definite highlight. Rich, indulgent, and nicely presented, it ended the meal on a sweet note. Service throughout was excellent—attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which helped elevate the overall experience. While the roast itself had its ups and downs, the great service and strong finish with dessert made it a decent Sunday outing. Price for roast 23pp Sweets 9pp Drinks 6pp Total spend approx 40pp not great value for money in my opinion

Good atmosphere,very friendly staff, affordable menu, lovely interior. Only issue, the Sunday menu was very limited, a few more dinner options would be ideal, maybe take out the Chestnut roast, I didn't no what it was , I ate one or two spoon fulls, it wasn't for me, maybe replace it with roast beef, something more fitting

We received a recommendation for Mannions and we were not disappointed. Good food, fair prices and lovely staff. We ate o a Saturday evening and the place was buzzing, always a good sign. The food was excellent, good portions and the sticky toffee pudding for desert was one of the best I've had.

We had a wonderful evening at Mannion's for a celebratory meal for my mother's birthday. Emmett, Lisa, Gautier and all the team's service was brilliant and the food was delicious, as always. The attention to detail makes all the difference - for example, as there were six young children in our group, the children's orders were taken first and their food served before the main group. This seems a minor detail but allowed the adults to have a nice chat and a drink before enjoying their meal. I had the panko & coconut prawn skewer which was great, followed by Kilmore Quay Haddock fillets - lovely and fresh.

Regularly eat here but that will change. Getting very expensive to eat here.

Excellent food , staff very attentive.

Emmett as always was a great host. Gave us time when he needed the much sought after table and made sure we had a place to go after eating. The food was so delicious and the seating and decor lovely. Such an enjoyable evening. Can't wait to go back.
