Mannions in New ross

I loved the bartender out front. He was really personable and shared a tip for where to eat the next night when the pub was closed. It took a while to be seated and then for our food to come out, but we enjoyed a beverage while we waited. Most of us ordered the special...steak and Guinness pie. It was pretty good, came with fries. I didn't know there'd be mushrooms, so I had to pull them out. The desserts were a hit as there was Pavlov and fruit, dticky pudding, and a brownie with ice cream...yum! Too bad the pub isn't open again while we are here so we could try other menu items. It is open Thurs-Sunday only.

Fantastic pub for grub. The food is of exceptional quality, at a reasonable price also. The service was efficient, the food arrived within minutes of ordering. The staff were attentive but not overbearing. Drinks were also fresh and high quality. Couldn’t recommend more!

A must visit if your in the area

Good atmosphere,very friendly staff, affordable menu, lovely interior. Only issue, the Sunday menu was very limited, a few more dinner options would be ideal, maybe take out the Chestnut roast, I didn't no what it was , I ate one or two spoon fulls, it wasn't for me, maybe replace it with roast beef, something more fitting

I recently had a Sunday roast that left me with mixed feelings. The beef was just okay—tender enough but lacking in flavor and seasoning, which made it a bit forgettable. On the other hand, the chicken was a pleasant surprise: juicy, well-cooked, and packed with flavor. It definitely outshone the beef. The vegetables were a bit of a letdown—overcooked and under-seasoned, they didn’t add much to the plate and no roast potatoes, Thankfully, things picked up with dessert, which was a definite highlight. Rich, indulgent, and nicely presented, it ended the meal on a sweet note. Service throughout was excellent—attentive, friendly, and genuinely helpful, which helped elevate the overall experience. While the roast itself had its ups and downs, the great service and strong finish with dessert made it a decent Sunday outing. Price for roast 23pp Sweets 9pp Drinks 6pp Total spend approx 40pp not great value for money in my opinion

Food was delicious, staff were very welcome and friendly

We received a recommendation for Mannions and we were not disappointed. Good food, fair prices and lovely staff. We ate o a Saturday evening and the place was buzzing, always a good sign. The food was excellent, good portions and the sticky toffee pudding for desert was one of the best I've had.
