Marble City Tea Rooms in Kilkenny

I ordered a chowder. It was practically a fish soup, with no seafood. It tasted good, but not so memorable. I was a bit disappointed.

Dine here quite often and I have to give it to the management and hard working staff of the Marble City Bar . Food is always delicious and fresh😋 .So compliments to their chefs . Staff go above and beyond to make your visit a memorable one ☝️. Love the atmosphere there .

Popped in for food while in town, dinner was great, I got the cannelloni and it was delicious. Portion size was large, and each bite was a different experience between the cannelloni and the sauce. Highlight was definitely the desert with was an eton mess big enough for the three of us to share after a good meal.

After going to Jerpoint Abbey and Kells Priory, we needed a spot of tea or coffee so we stopped in Marble City Bar and Tea Room. If you're mainly looking for a drink or cafe for a light meal, it's easier to enter at the St. Kierans entrance. Busy small tea room with so-so tea selection in a country where there is a high amount of tea consumed. Desserts were good with reasonable service. Good but not great, but still a good spot to take a break.
