We had a wonderful stay. Every member of staff we met went above and way beyond the usual good service levels to ensure we had the most comfortable and memorable stay. Excellent meals also.

Always a pleasure to stay here, I attend the Galway tattoo show every year here, the food is great, rooms are comfortable and clean, great underground parking facility, close to everywhere. Would have been 5 star for service (reception were wonderful) but for one very rude and obnoxious supervisor in the restaurant, obviously had issues with tattooed customers and made his dislike very obvious.

Stayed in a suite for Golden Medal Awards. Beautiful room with stunning view of galway bay. Clean and cosy. Reception staff helpfull and nice. Service and food was great at the event. Tasty breakfast in the morning. Walking distance from city centre.

So the rooms were average. The shower was terrible though. They do provide a small cooler with water which was good and kept us stocked up with tea, hot chocolate and coffee. Disappointed with the pool it's a little small and it's not really part of the hotel but an adjoined gym. when I went to use it 3 times the swimming pool had a lot of people there so I couldn't really swim. The price of food and drink was crazy. The food was average with a high markup. My Father got the fish and chips. battered fish was extremely greasy so they over cooked it. Sister got the pizza which the base was half under done. My pasta was good though. Didn't want to eat in the reastraunt after. I suggest going to dough bros, the pizza was amazing. Breakfast was a good spread with a lot of options. I think the sausage and rashers were not good quality I stuck to porridge and fruit for the rest of my stay. Impressed with the options but some of the food quality lets it down. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. Extremely close to a lot of places walked everywhere no need for a taxi

I booked this hotel with parking. Upon checking in, i re-confirmed with reception for the parking, she nicely affirmed us that we just need to have our parking ticket validated during check out. No parking fee will be charged. During check-out in the next morning, we passed the parking ticket to the staff, and they told us that the parking will be charged. I told him that we had checked with hotel staff upon check-in?! The overall experience in that morning was unpleasant, the staff reluctantly validated our parking ticket. When we were driving out, we realised that we don't even need the ticket for exit. We requested firm pillow, they forgotten our request. We called again, a few soft pillows were delivered to our room.

It was a pleasure to stay in the Galmont Hotel for one night. The staff at the reception were really friendly upon arrival, we arrived to the hotel 4 hours before check in to drop our bags off and was told our room was ready for us which was brilliant. The hotel is in a great location and only a five minute walk from Eyre Square which was convenient for us with the Christmas Market on. We had a few drinks in Coopers bar but the staff working behind the bar were atrocious and failed to meet guest expectations, I ordered a pint and they said they need to change the keg and it would take 2 minutes to do but once resolved the bartender came back to the bar side eyeing me and started serving other people drinks, I ended up waiting 10 minutes for my drink, another person next to me ordered 2 Nespresso Martinis and ended up waiting just as long as I did, soon after another person ordered 2 Nespresso martinis and got it before the first person who had ordered the Nespresso martinis, myself and the other person waiting said this service was not acceptable to the bar staff but they kept arguing with us rather then apologise for the inconvenience which was completely unacceptable. Brought this up to the hotel supervisor who took this matter really well and offered us complimentary drinks to apologise for the poor service provided. other then that it was a great experience and will consider coming back next time we visit Galway

Location location location, 4 min on foot and your in the square. Hot tub overlooking the bay, cosey bed, water stations near the rooms, good food. Highly recommended
