Not the same as of few years ago. Rice recipe is changed and they are just bland now and no flavor as it used to. But still you may try!!

This is an excellent Somali cultural restaurant in Dublin, serving delicious, fresh, and authentic food. The taste is rich, flavorful, and reminds you of true Somali home cooking. The service is friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is warm. It’s not only loved by the Somali community but also enjoyed by people from many different backgrounds. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to experience real Somali cuisine and great hospitality.

I had the Rice with Chicken deal and it was really tasty. The portion size was generous. The deal came with a banana, a bottle of water, some fresh salad, and a flavorful sauce β€” all for just €11. Great value for the price!

An amzing place to eat halal food, the quality of rice is amazing and the you have multiple halal options including chicken, beef and lamb. The rates are so reasonable that you'll be amazed compared to the portion size. A banana and a bottle of water on the house in this economy is surprising in itself. I tried the lamb and rice ( a bit of kabuli pulao touch) and thoroughly enjoyed it. Would be trying the beef and sambhosa soon. I was a bit afraid as it was my first time trying somali food but the staff was there to guide me. The place is crowded most of the times so it may be an issue if you feel uncomfortable sharing the table. I will definitely recommend it if you eat halal food.

The Church Bar & Restaurant

26/08/2025: Great ambiance, repurposed an old church into a pub. They have a cellar area for private events as well.
25/08/2025: The location is, of course, fabulous, but the service, prices, and quality of the food make it a typical tourist trap for me. The receptionist was cold and disinterested, and our friendly waiter seemed stressed (tables are apparently reserved every 1.5 hours). The staff were generally rather untrained. We ordered stew and salmon, both of which were extremely mediocre, and the portions were really small. The cleanliness of the restrooms also didn't live up to the high standards they set for themselves. Long story short: great place, unfortunately undeservedly hyped. They could make something really great out of this place.
