If you are in the area, be sure to stop by Mary's Bakery! In her small bakery, you'll find freshly baked treats and the coffee is ready. Have a scone; Mary will put a spoonful of jam on it for you if you like. But we especially enjoyed the chocolate truffle slice!
You definitely shouldn't miss this place!
Mary’s Bakery is simply the best! The home baked goods are some of the tastiest I have ever had & we tried almost everything (scones, carrot cakes, sausage rolls, potato cakes, etc.). Mary herself is an absolute gem, warm, welcoming & passionate about what she does. You can tell that everything is baked with care and love. Highly recommended! Thank you Mary x
We had been driving for ages trying to find somewhere to get some lunch and how lucky were we to stumble upon Mary's Bakery. Mary does all the baking herself and was so friendly. The egg muffins and apple pie were absolutely delicious and there was a picnic table outside where we could eat. A tasty lunch where you least expect is are the best type and it will definitely be a fond memory from our Irish road trip.
It turns out that this is now Mary's retirement gig. You won't find a full sit down lunch here but what you do find is delicious. Sausage rolls. Egg tarts. Baked goods. A tiny oasis on the Wild Atlantic Way.
What a wonderful place. Mary's scones (tea biscuits) are out of this world and her coffee was excellent. She was extremely gracious and helpful, and even shared the secret of her potato bread. I highly recommend this spot.
