Masseytown Rotisserie Deli in Cork

Had a Joel and a Roast beef. Top class food. Nice people. 5 stars

I really wanted to love their roast dinner in a Yorkshire pudding burrito but it fell a little short for me. The place was in a small cute location that forced us to navigate a bunch of little side streets we wouldn’t have known were there. I think I would have liked it better if the meat had been shredded versus sliced. In my head if the meat had been shredded and kept warm in gravy or an au jus sauce it would have been a bit more moist. It was pretty dry and required a lot of chewing. It is totally a good concept that just needs to be rethinked a little. It was understaffed on our random Sunday visit but the staff was pleasant and apologized for the delay. On a side note there is no customer bathroom. They said the closest bathroom was at a Tesco and had a 20p price and they offered to give us the 20p. Again the concept of wrapping an entire roast dinner in a Yorkshire pudding burrito is fun enough to give it a try.

We had skipped breakfast and were getting hangry. Discovered this gem and had the most nourishing sandwiches and a great coffee to go. Now we’re feeling well fed. Such a nice staff and atmosphere of sitting outside. #3 roast beef (perfection) and #1 chicken (delicious but a little roasted garlic mayo or a fresh herb mayo would make it even better!) Sandwiches we’ll be thinking about and craving in the future. Open a shop in NYC and we’ll be your first customers.

Guys, if you are charging premium amounts for preparing rolls, ( €13) you need the result to match. I could get the same in Centra for less than half the price. I know your rent and rates are high but you can't be charging what you are with that end product.

Sandwiches to die for!!! Made in front of you (the chicken fillets are raised in front of you on a chicken straight out of the rotisserie!). The “Joël” (in homage according to the boss to Joël ROBUCHON), does not steal its name. The team (owner and waitress) are remarkably kind and sympathetic (we French are not used to this everywhere in our restaurants in France who would do well to take a little inspiration from it...). The boss played with Ronan O'Gara the coach of our LA ROCHELLE rugby team (yes we are from Rochelais), so... You need a quick snack in CORK, don't hesitate, this is the place to come....

The best place in Cork for Coffee & Hot chocolate! Their breakfast is amazing. And if Maria is the chef, ask her for an omelette with ham & cheese; I am a huge fan of Maria's Omelettes & everyone I've brought there are amazed by how delicious the food is. The staff are the friendliest bunch of people in Cork. This place is a gem! Again, Maria's Omelettes are to die for; give the girl a raise!

We were eating on Sunday, the special burrito they make that day "Sunday Burrito" and it was delicious, the coffees are also delicious and the staff that served us was one of the best I have encountered during my trip through Ireland. I recommend this place without hesitation.

Absolutely outstanding roast chicken sandwich. Freshly roast chicken with rocket leafs a bit mayo . Excellent coffee too. On my list from now on .
