Matt The Thresher in Dublin

We booked a large party on short notice and the food, service and atmosphere were all amazing!

First time dining at Matt the Thresher. Gorgeous decor and vibes and lovely staff. The service was excellent and the drinks were delicious. The night we were in was a little crowded and there were some very drunk, very loud tables around is which somewhat spoiled the atmosphere at times. My wife and I don't eat meat which somewhat limited the menu, she had the much lauded scampi and I ordered the vegetarian offering which was a squash gnocchi. The pasta dish was incredible, light, rich and delicious and a perfect portion size. The scampi, though very tasty, didn't quite live up to the hype or the nearly 40euro price tag. Definitely a good eat and a beautiful spot, but there are places to get an equally fantastic meal for half the price, so I can't give it the 5 star.

Excellent experience! The fish and chips were delicious, the linguine with mussels and langoustines was superb and perfectly seasoned, and our waitress Violetta was very welcoming and friendly. Highly recommended!

3 stars, fish with potatoes and veg very bland, Ivan the server was quite annoying, acted very loud for a waiter. Could hear him repeat out loud the specials menu to customers several tables away..tone it down. Will stick to merrion hotel in future for quiet special meal.

A very good culinary experience to eat oysters, shellfish and fish in a chic and beautiful setting.

Food was good. My favorite of the day was scallop. So fresh and cooked perfectly.

Really enjoyed our meal here. Have been a few times. The seafood linguine is particularly very good!
