Matt the Thresher in Birdhill

The staff & atmosphere were lovely. I got Turkey & Ham. The plates were cold & the ham was so so. My husband had the cod , it was fantastic but the plate was cold which resulted in the food going cold too quick

Great food in very relaxing surroundings.

We went as a family of 6 (28/10/25) on holiday from England. We hadn’t made a reservation but luckily were able to be seated. The whole experience was just fantastic!!! We had the loveliest lady serving us. I wish I’d asked her name!! She made a point of addressing my three grandchildren by their first names and making sure she listened to them and responded to them. It was so lovely! Our food was absolutely delicious! We were all so pleased with our choices. So, Matt the Thresher, we loved our experience at your lovely restaurant! Thank you!!! 🩷

Good food. Only negative was the racket behind the bar with things clanging. Annoying. Took a while to get served when we went into the bar.
