Myself and my family ( there was 16 of us)were here today and we were very happy. The food was amazing, the staff very professional. I will be returning. Highly recommend.
We booked ahead for a late table and ended up being the last to leave, but we were never hurried or encouraged to leave. We were a party of four and all of us loved the food we ate. The service we received was Great and the staff we met confirmed that they had some passionate people in the kitchen, it showed!
First time in a long time having food in Matt the Thresher in Birdhill Co.Tipp (26th Sept 2024) and I will definitely be back there again a lot sooner. Staff were the nicest I've experienced in a long long time, very friendly and helpful and chatty. Food was delicious and arrived super quick. Overall a great experience.
Absolutely beautiful setting for an early dinner. The restaurant is spotless and freshly painted. The outside still in the last of summer bloom but the flower boxes and hanging bashed are always so beautiful in the middle of this quaint village.
Our waitress Lisa was so pleasant and friendly. She was full of fun and quick to respond to every little request. Service staff like Lisa are a huge asset to the experience at Matt’s.
Food was top notch. The mussels were delicious with a really light but flavorful white wine sauce and crispy garlic bread. The Pate was silky smooth with beautiful berry compote served with fresh crispy bread.
The burger was juicy tasty and cooked to perfection. The fish was delicious hot, crispy, light and thin batter and the chips were as crispy to match. Served with lovely what I think might be homemade tartar salad and minted peas. Very reasonably priced, great quality and fantastic waiting staff in a stunning setting what more could you as for
Had breakfast their last week end with friends. Must say the nicest bacon I have eaten for any breekie. Really lovely staff and also good value.
