Mayur in Portlaoise

Beautiful food, great friendly staff and excellent portions. We Really enjoyed this meal we got chicken jalfrazi and chicken tikka masala. Pilau rice, lemon rice, garlic nan and chips. 10/10 would return.

We had the meat platter, vegetable platter, mushroom pilau rice, lamb balti, chicken tikka massala, chilli cheese naan and garlic naan. Everything was 5 stars. The waiter explained the dishes and made recommendations. I highly recommend this place.

We've eaten out of here for as long as I can remember. For the last while everything seems to have changed a lot. While some of the food is still quite tasty, some meals have gone quite bland (chicken madras being one of them) The price changes have raised a lot and It seems they're going up all the time. There's not even any dips with poppadoms anymore. I'm not sure if it's been taken over. It's really disappointing because we would have normally eaten here every week but unfortunately it's no longer possible. I understand prices have gone up across the board but it seems prices here are constantly going up and like mentioned above, taking away some condiments when increasing prices is a little disappointing.

From the iced water to the after eights offered with the bill, this was a delightful experience. The food was excellent, tasty and well cooked. Service was very attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend having a meal here.

This restaurant is most definitely Michelin star worthy . Best Indian food that I have luckily found to date .

We had a fantastic dinner at Mayur in Portlaoise. The butter chicken was rich and creamy, the lamb biryani was beautifully aromatic, and the mixed kebabs were packed with flavour. The presentation was lovely, the atmosphere cosy, and the service warm and attentive. Overall, a delicious experience.
