This bar is a staple location for nights out you never know if it will be a quite chat with friends over a pint or meeting new people leading to new adventure's. However it is more expensive than other bars in the area, I paid a euro to a euro fifty cent more here for the same drinks I hot in another bar less than 4 minutes walk away.

Close to a shopping district so prices were a bit elevated but lower than temple bar. Beers were cold and the environment was what we were after. Would return.

Had a pint hear yesterday. Guinness.It was fantastic. Never in Mcdaids before real old style pub .Bar man wad excellent new his job and had a word for everyone. Will definitely call in again the next time iam in Dublin.Kevin.

14/08/2025: Very nice food, service was great. Thursday afternoon so things were quiet and we were able to relax and enjoy our food.
12/08/2025: The roast beef was the star of the show and absolutely mouth watering—so tender and juicy! It was served in generous, thick slices on a bed of creamy mash and stuffing, and topped with a fresh green garnish. The presentation was excellent, with the meal laid out beautifully on a large plate. The side dishes were just as impressive; the french fries were perfectly golden in a stylish metal bucket, and the beautiful mixed vegetables in the side bowl were delicious. The rich, dark gravy served in its own silver boat was the perfect accompaniment, and the entire meal was absolutely fantastic. I highly recommend you sample it for yourself!

03/09/2025: Great food, bit pricey compared to supermarkets, but worth it. Having a local bakery is always a good thing, support local.
