Awesome pub. Been here a few times on the trip. I’ve seen it dog friendly and kid friendly during the day. Just a great place to grab a pint.

1st visit, definitely be returning Traditional Irish pub, not many frills but plenty of decent Guinness. Nice atmosphere, cheery staff, reasonably priced

Divine evenings on the cruise, the best Guinness and shots I've ever had. A top atmosphere even during the European Championship final.

Tricky one this, upstairs bar had a problem with beers being warm and gassed. Staff were good at fixing the issues by sending me downstairs to get replacements. Downstairs pints were better but not as good as nearby pubs. The decor is great and upstairs is lovely and comfy. Toilets were clean and well maintained. Will visit again in future to update on drinks.

What a lovely little pub with a really friendly owner. Went to see the Phil Lynott statue and it was pouring down. Pub hadn't quite opened but we were welcomed in and had a great pint of Guinness and looked after. Also got given a couple of Guinness T Shirts. What Ireland is all about. Reminds me of folk in my home town of Liverpool. Nice to be nice.

McDaid’s Pub has always been a favourite of ours, since the 1980’s, when we used to frequent it regularly. Now, although now no living in Dublin anyway, it is still my favourite meeting up point when myself and our ‘slightly more mature Girlie Gang’ catch up. So, we spent a most enjoyable couple of drinks there last Saturday afternoon, enjoying chat and watching the Rugby. We then moved on to a local restaurant for some dinner and it wasn’t until I went to pay the bill that I realised my purse was not in my bag! My last recollection of having it was when I paid for drinks in McDaids, earlier that evening. Not realising that I had mistakenly left in on the counter after paying for the drinks, I had NO hope or expectation of recovering it. However, I took the chance to return to McDaid’s that night and to my delight, the lovely Barman had kept it behind the counter for me for safe keeping! I was SO relieved, as EVERYTHING, cash, cards, Luas ticket, ID, etc was contained in it! I just wanted to express my sincere appreciation to McDaid’s and it’s wonderful, efficient and HONEST staff, for retrieving and keeping my wallet for me and ensuring its safe return. McDaids now definitely continues to be our FAVORITE Pub in Dublin, for its atmosphere, staff, ambience and HONESTY! Thanks a Million Guys! Finola O’Callagan

Foggy Dew

11/06/2025: The Foggy Dew is a classic Dublin pub with great atmosphere, great music, and great pints! It’s got that perfect mix of old-school charm and lively energy. The staff are always friendly and quick with service, and the Guinness is poured to perfection. There’s often live music or a great playlist in the background, giving it that authentic Irish pub feel. It’s also ideally located near Temple Bar, but with a more local and laid-back vibe. Whether you’re stopping in for a pint, catching up with friends, or just soaking in the atmosphere, The Foggy Dew is always a brilliant choice!
14/05/2025: What great pub on the corner of Dame Street. Sat/ Sunday is a must if there is a band on, plenty of room to dance. Look up their site for upcoming dates and bands. Sunday used to be a SKA night and it was brilliant. Great selection of whiskeys. If there is one drawback, it is the Loos , they are down a flight of stairs 😲
