It was so cozy, and the live music from the three ladies was amazing. Plus, the individual improvisations from the international audience were pure joy. Great service 👍

One of the few dog friendly pubs in the area. The food and traditional music were pretty standard, but there’s a sheltered area at the back where you can bring your dog.

McDermott's was the most memorable experience of our entire trip to Ireland. The food was great, but the experience was unbeatable. My wife and I were wholeheartedly welcomed in by several of the locals in a way that I have never experienced before. We arrived at the pub just before dark, hoping simply to hear the live music and get back to our B&B within a couple of hours. As we walked in, there was barely even a place to stand, but we inched our way to a far corner near the bar so we could see the band. One of the locals started chatting with us as he waited for a drink by the bar, but after a few minutes, he went back to his seat—only to return and invite my wife and me to sit with them. They had made room for us in an unimaginably packed house, and we were now basically bumping knees with the band members. After the band stopped and the pub emptied out, the locals implored us to stay as they sat around and took turns singing beautiful songs. We did this until we all got kicked out of the pub! We thought it was over, but again, the locals wouldn't let us leave as they gathered underneath the lamplight just outside the pub and sang a few more songs to close out the night. I don't know why they chose us of all the people there that night, but we truly felt like they had adopted us, allowing us to experience this authentic Irish culture. I couldn't be more grateful for this pub and the locals who frequent it. We spent a couple of weeks road tripping around Ireland, and again, this was the most memorable part of our trip. Trust me, you don't want to miss it!

We stopped in and it was the best surprise of the day. Traditional pub with maybe the biggest piece of fish I have had in years with the fish and chips. Great atmosphere in a town that is already off the charts. if you are in Doolin you have to try it

Stopped by a day tour (Cliffs of Moher, Galwy etc.) at this nice irish pub. The tour planned to stop at the other pub called McGanns, but they were so unfriendly that we went to this nice pub. Awesome Guinness for a very very fair price, friendly bartenders and a pretty pub.

Ivy Cottage

24/06/2025: Hands down, the best fish and chips in Ireland! Tried Galway and all around Dublin. Had so much fish and chip I think I grew gills! Nothing…NOTHING compared to the fish and chips at the Ivy Cottage. Looking forward to our next trip to Ireland.
22/06/2025: All around fantastic experience. The location and atmosphere at the start of Fishcerstreet encapsulates the picturesque village of Doolin. Delightful eating areas inside and out, quintessential of what you would wish for as a dining experience. The host and service was superb, adding to the charming atmosphere. Our three course meal was exceptional, consisting of the chowder and soup of the day, fish and chips and goats cheese salad. The desserts of chocolate brownie and apple + rhubarb crumble were phenomenal. We frequently make the trip to Doolin for the good food and atmosphere, and will continue to do so.

Treacy's Bar & Restaurant

11/06/2025: Stayed at this pub in our Campervan for 2 nights. All I can say is it is one of the best places we have had a stopover for the hospitality, food, drinking and the Craic. 10 🌟 if I could give it.
03/06/2025: Delicious homemade food, lovely inside and nice service. Chicken curry, chicken and ham and bread pudding were great!
