McDonagh's in Galway

Excellent, it was so good that I wanted to hug the Cuisto. It's a must do and must be done again!!

The atmosphere is fun. Had cod fish and oysters. Worth the hype!

The fish was excellent! The concept is nice, we choose the fish, the sauces, etc. All individually. The fries aren't great, but the fish is really good! The sauces are good, especially the tartare!

A place where they serve fried fish along with french fries and drink. The place is original and used by tourists as well as locals. Worth trying for a lunch break and as a stopover during a visit to the city of Galway, north west Ireland.

Had oysters there and can’t complain at all.;-)

First fish and chips of my life. I discovered a taste. A smile came to my face. I swallowed yet another portion of chips. My heart skipped a beat. He started typing again as soon as I saw the smile of the girl sitting in front of me. I know it will never stop.

It was my first meal in Galway and I had a good meal. The staff is really friendly and the food is good. The cod was really moist and thick. The interior is also good.

While in Galway, my husband I stopped here for dinner. My husband was not feeling well, so I was the only one who ate. I had the fish and chips. You have a few different options of fish to choose from. I chose the cod. Tartar sauce costs extra. It tasted okay. It was very filling.

A group of us were wandering down Quay Street in search of a late dinner (8:30pm) and noticed this place which was packed with diners. We placed our orders at the counter and about half of us were handed our food and the others only had to wait a few minutes for theirs. The cod was a good-sized portion that was quite thick and nicely battered. It was greasier than I prefer, but very filling. My wife and I shared a large order of chips which were thicker than expected chunks of potatoes that were actually pretty good. My friend ordered the fish soup which he said was very good. It did seem petty to have to pay .80 euros for tartar sauce.
