Superb experience, generous quantity, the fish and chips are super good.

Tasty place, worth the wait. It's fresh, great flavor, and you can enjoy the dishes. I tried the cod, it was cooked perfectly, but there were too many potatoes. The price was average, and the waiter seemed annoyed, but oh well, it's not the end of the world, so enjoy yourself. I give it an 8.5, it's definitely worth it.

Had the hake with fries and a side of beans. Was very nice and for a great price. Would recommend

A great spot for fish and chips! They were very busy when we arrived but the workers were quickly clearing tables to make room for people to sit. A great price for a huge meal! Definitely recommend for a quick and delicious meal!

Although the restaurant serves fish, it is not halal-compliant because they fry the fish in the same oil used for pork. The restaurant is not for halal food; they boil the fish in the same oil used for pork.

We went as a family on a Monday evening at 8:45 pm... and frankly, the service was just okay... the food was good. But we felt like we were bothering them even though the restaurant was only half full... frankly, we were disappointed.

Great experience at McDonagh’s in Galway! The fries were really good, crispy, tasty, and served in a generous portion. Definitely worth it. Would come back!
