McGarrigles Restaurant in Bundoran

Lovely staff. Best Sunday dinner and great desserts

I had been to McGarrigle's five years ago on a college trip, and I had consistently excellent meals whenever I was there. Having returned there recently, I can say that the restaurant is as wonderful as I remember it being. The staff were all very accommodating, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The food was as great as I remember it being, having been very fresh and particularly tasty. My last visit had trips to McGarrigle's be too brief, but rest assured, I will make sure I return there more often on my next visit to Bundoran.

The family and I went in here for some food while in Bundoran for the weekend. I ordered the fresh cod, lasagne for the wife pizza and nuggets kids meals. I really wanted a breakfast, but because it was lunchtime and there was no breakfast option on the menu, I assumed I couldn't order a breakfast. After I ordered and started eating my fish, someone behind me ordered the All Day Breakfast. I was disappointed, but that was not this establishments fault. The chips weren't great. They were very greasy and the usual frozen chip variety. The lasagne was very dry. I think it was made the day before and reheated when we ordered it. Maybe it was cooked and placed under heat lamps all day. It was that dry. The fresh cod was a grand size and had the perfect amount of batter crunch on it. The portions of food were pretty decent, though. I can't fault that.

Amazing place!!! Me and my family had outstanding service! The food was... I swear, I had the best burger in my life! Never tried anything like this before, this Master burger was melting in my mouth!!! Our child has a pizza and chips and he ate it all! Fast service and reasonable priced!!! Thank you so much!!! Cannot wait to visit you again!!! 💓

After reading reviews online, we were rather disappointed with our food. Everything we had seemed like it could be a ready meal from Tesco. Nothing was inedible, but it’s certainly not a place I will rush back to. For starters, my husband had the chicken vol-au-vent & I had the chowder. We gave both dishes 3/10. For mains we both had spaghetti bolognaise & again we both scored it 3/10. The highlight was the warm chocolate brownie dessert which he scored 7/10 & I scored 6. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
