Not super crowded, food is good, great place to catch up with friends

When you are the driver for a large group and the 0.0 Heineken costs over €7 is a piss take. Food wasn’t badly priced but was mediocre at best

Cozy pub behind Merrion hotel down a side alley. It's really a hidden gem. Doesn't get foot traffic from random people as it's down a dark lane and the crowd are mostly regulars who've been many times. Popular with locals and politicians. Need to up their 0.0 game. Guinness zero from a can (yuck), and Heineken zero from the small keg machine not a regular draught keg (acceptable 3 years ago). Also, time to lose the "assistant" in the bathrooms peddling use of a vast array of cheap aftershave and deodorants. I never find it comfortable being obligated to tip an overly friendly interrogation on how my night is going in exchange for a hand towel. This is not 1999.

There wasn't much of an atmosphere as it was mid week and there weren't many people there.

Great place to have watched the IRE-NZL rugby match.

Usually it is good, as only going there for a quick lunch, burgers are very good. But most recent experience was a bit disappointing, food was a bit cold and service really slow. But more times all was perfect.

I love this bar and have done for over a decade. It's standard pub grub but great value. There's a warm fire and cosy snugs and good service if not a bit old school barman type. I've been to several events here upstairs in the function room and you're very well looked after and accommodated. Highly recommend the place
