Peruke & Periwig in Dublin

Paid nearly €30 for two drinks at the bar. The drinks were really nice and the barman was friendly. However, I was surprised to be prompted for a tip when paying. There was no table service, we ordered and collected the drinks ourselves, so I’m not entirely sure what the tip would have been for. Tipping should reflect extra service, not just standard bar service. The expectation to tip on top of high prices is off-putting.

A little late but we spent New years Eve here and service from Cyntia was amazing!! We had such a great night! Drinks menu was different to the previous time we visited a few weeks previous which i loved, its nice to see venues adapting to seasonality accross all menus, and the only food we had was the complimentary popcorn but that was also delicious :)

Cocktails were really good and the ambiance was nice as well. The only thing we missed were bar snacks. Unfortunately, the service was pour. We had a hard time getting the waitress to notice us any time we needed here. Om top of this, the bar personnel started eating delivery pizza when customers were still in. A bit sour when the customers themselves can’t order food

Nice place to go for cocktails and chats upstairs if you can get a booking. Downstairs is great too if you can get a seat

Definitely on top of the list for one of the best cocktails in town but they are definitely top 3 for decoration and atmosphere. You may have a difficulty finding a sest on busy days as they have a limited space. Love this place.

An interesting venue: a classic pub on the ground floor, and a refined and well-kept "speakeasy" upstairs. The cocktail list is very original, featuring creations by the staff. We didn't get the right choice because the cocktails weren't to our taste, but in these cases, it can be easy to make the wrong choice when the cocktails are so daring. Still, a place I recommend 100%.

Filmed a small wedding reception here and it was spectacular from start to finish. The staff were brilliant, friendly, helpful, and made everything run so smoothly. Beautiful cocktails and such a lovely atmosphere. I tried a few non alcoholic cocktails myself and they were super tasty. The place is cosy, welcoming, and has a great vibe overall. I will definitely be back again when I am not working. Oak & Oak
