This was a great surprise. After 7 pm on a Sunday night, this was the only place open still serving food. With a few beers, we both had Lamb on Herb Mash, it was the best I have ever had by a long way and my host agreed. To the next time.

I recently had dinner here and the food was absolutely gorgeous. The staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful. Highly recommend Mchughs and look forward to returning.

10/02/2025: Neat and clean , quiet area and easy access to beach Enjoyed lovely morning sunshine
09/02/2025: First time staying here at Portmarnock. Absolutely lovely area, room was great and very comfy bed. We had dinner in the Jameson, the rib eye was very grissly and tough, when I asked for a mojito was told they couldn't do cocktails due to them not having mint. I would still come back to this hotel though, ....sometimes we all have our off days.
