McHugh's Wine & Dine Portmarnock in Portmarnock

We arranged to have a nice Mother's day meal here with my parents and family. My sister made the booking and shared all the details. She was then contacted by the restaurant to ask to call into the restaurant to pay a deposit. She was unable to do so as she did not live in Dublin so I did, which I found a bit inconvenient as I have a newborn. On the day of the meal, none of the staff mentioned that the table needed to be cleared by 16.00 until it was 15.45, at which point we had only received our desserts and we were looking to order coffees and tea. The manager (who had come to take the coffee and tea order) told us in quite an abrupt way that we needed to be quick about the order as he needed the table back by 16.00, first time we were told this. We had enjoyed the meal up until this point as we felt that the manager's attitude was quite abrupt and could have been a bit more pleasant. I honestly felt we were short of being pushed out the door. We found the two other waiters on the day to be very nice and accommodating. The experience we had at the end of the meal left a bad taste. Unfortunately, as a local, I won't return to this restaurant.

Great place the food is so good and the staff are very friendly overall worth the money

My husband and I had a great time there last Saturday! Food and cocktails were amazing! Ovi, the manager gave us the 5 star treatment. The February special is so delicious, I'm still dreaming with the taste of the steak and cauliflower 😋😁

Great place with friendly and efficient staff. Went for a special family meal this afternoon. 18 of us in all and the staff were as good to us. Top marks to the chefs and cooks as well behind the scenes as we all really enjoyed the food. It was my first time there and hope it won't be my last. The staff are an absolute credit to you.

Had another lovely meal with family in McHughs Portmarnock yesterday evening. Definitely our place to go to. Lovely staff, very attentive. Great food and atmosphere. Obi, the manager is a lovely guy. Will be back.

A cozy restaurant with great ambiance, food was delish and staff were polite. But very limited veggie options

Great service, very amicable, 10 min away from the Portmarnork hotel. Wine and food were also great.

A little disappointing to see no vegetarian option for a main course on the set Sunday menu. Apparently the vegetarian burger only available week days. Staff organised for it to be available. But it means limited vegetarian options.
