Very nice hotel and I can recommend it. The staff were very helpful and pleasant to talk to.
The only small blot was that the room we stayed in needed a bit of an update, in particular the nets on the windows were worn and slightly grubby which was a little disappointing.
Food was excellent, both breakfast and dinner.

Newly decorated. Good food.
Getting better all the time.
No change except for some staff changes. Had a bad experience with a new barman, from a neighbouring County, likes to wear his County colours about the place.
However, didnt take away from the other great staff and service they offer.
Still a top class place, food exceptional
Gets better all the time.
Update.
Have lowered star rating. Resident customers treated differently to locals and not on side of locals.
Back up to it's usual ratings, small set backs should'nt take away from a top class establishment.
This place is.
Here for Mother's day and again for Easter Sunday family meal.
Top of their game as usual.
Very busy with Tourists. Food very good. Staff friendly, good welcome here.
Update:
Still getting better.
Update:
Keep getting asked, has this place changed.
Yes, it has, gets better all the time.
Update:
Visited today 29-13-23.
If asking to rate 1 to 10, would have to be 20.
Believe me this is warranted.
Great place.

Excellent hotel, nothing to complain about. Clean and spacious room, generous and delicious breakfast. Ample parking and only 25min walk to Galway city centre.
I recommend this hotel with my eyes closed.

Very nice hotel well located on the outskirts of Galway. Spacious, comfortable and well soundproofed rooms.
Diligent service, especially at breakfast.
Special mention to Manon for her kindness and her availability for her explanations in French ;-)
Very good restaurant/bar within the hotel.

We booked direct with the hotel. It must be a recent phenomenon but I find a 16:00 check in a little bit of joke. My reading is there are less staff to clean the rooms - ergo, reduced cost for the hotel.
When I received an email offering an early check-in for €20 I decided it was worth it as it moved the check-in to 13:00. I received an email confirmation to this effect.
When we first arrived, and I mentioned the early check-in we were told there were no rooms ready, but I would be called when one became free. An hour later there was still no call.
Imagine my surprise when I returned to the hotel when I was told there was no evidence in the system of the early check-in request. Something about technical issues. Credit where credit is due the receptionist (Camillia?) who made some calls and we got a room. Not ideal, and not sure why the first receptionist did not spot this.
Second, after checking in I was also disappointed to see the hotel was selling higher end rooms on their website for the same price I had paid for a standard room. I recommend those with flexible/free cancellation bookings check this before arrival. Shame we were not offered these rooms.
With respect to a few minor quibbles. The extractor fan in the bathroom (room 211) sounded like a jet engine but was useless in terms of the job it was designed to do. The thick blanket of dust on the cover probably did not help. Furthermore, the lighting in the room was at best mediocre. Time for a refit!
In the toilets near reception I was surprised to see a young male member of staff with his bare hands inside the toilet bowl cleaning. Come on management, organise some gloves!
On the plus side the hotel staff was friendly and courteous at all times.
Breakfasts were of a decent quality although I must say it would be great to have scrambled eggs that tasted of egg! They looked pale and anaemic.
The hotel is on the outskirts of town with good parking. The main junction nearby can be a little noisy.
Based on what I paid ( €448 in total for 2 nights) I don't think I would return.
