We visited this pub twice when we were in Dublin between May 5 and May 9. We loved the atmosphere, the food and drinks, and especially the friendly service ❤️ Doug and Paul were very welcoming and I recommend this to everyone 🇮🇪

We went there for a participatory Irish dance show. It was very nice and good atmosphere. Start at 2:30 p.m., duration 2 hours. On the other hand, be careful the drinks are expensive

10/05/2025: Lovely visit to Herbstreet for brunch this morning. Glad we had booked as it was very busy. This however didn’t compromise on the friendly welcome that we were greeted with and the attentive service throughout. We’d booked an indoor table but asked if we could sit outside as it was such a beautiful day and the outdoor seating area at the front had a lovely view over the docks and was basking in sunshine. This was accommodated and early explained when the table was to be returned. Great menu with a range of breakfast/lunch options. Food was delicious and portions very generous. Hadn’t visited this area of Dublin before but lots of interesting sightseeing opportunities close by for afterwards. Hope to visit again.

Old Punch Bowl

19/04/2025: So I'm a big fan of this pub, has always been great, a really nice pint. But went in tonight, €7.10 for a pint of Guinness? Utter rip off. This is why no one can afford to go out anymore.
30/03/2025: What makes this place standout is the warm welcome and hospitality of the owners, a husband and wife team. Simply put, they are that couple who’ve been married 30+ years, who care about their business and they care that diners have a memorable visit well worth the reasonable cost. We were on a Trafalgar tour and had a great meal with desserts, coffees, and choice of cocktails. The servings were huge and I loved the berry cobbler!
