This Victorian castle's reflection in the lake is postcard-perfect at 11am when the water is stillest. The walled garden's head gardener still plants heritage vegetables from original 19th-century seed stock. The chapel's marble floor stays icy cold even in summer - bring socks if you want to linger inside.

It is a beautiful place to visit, beautiful landscapes and views, full with history. I just though that is too expensive- 18 € for an adult

Lovely place. Dogs allowed but not in the buildings.

The gardens are lovely. The woods are worth seeing. The Abbey itself is pretty boring as the people recorded are the equivalent of the greedy billionaires the world has created. If they’d opened their home to the poverty stricken Irish or they were part of our fight for independence, they’d be of interest. But they didn’t. And I wonder how many Irish suffered in the building of that ridiculous church. As for the nuns again how much did they do for the poor locals?

Beautiful place, fantastic views, interesting interior, exhibition on the floor to do, interesting garden, park with Connemera ponies with guide, catering on site, arrive in the morning around opening because the place is very busy afterwards, shuttles between the abbey and the gardens...

Magnificent abbey, very well maintained. The little ones nearby: garden, church, mausoleum are worth the detour. As a bonus, superb views :)
