A very nice discovery, the gardens are also worth exploring.

While a ticket is required to access the magnificent monastery building from the entrance, the parking lot, souvenir shop, and restaurant/cafe are free. While the average traveler won't need to travel far just to visit, it's a wonderful place to stop and take a break.

We actually just wanted to see the castle and ended up staying for two hours. The grounds are wonderfully large, and the rock garden is a dream. In the end, the walk was more impressive than the castle.

This place is highly recommended. Unfortunately, too many people already know about it, so it attracts a lot of tourists. It's best to arrive by car in the morning, otherwise the parking lots are already full.

A very pretty and characteristic place. Many features, however, are not original (for example, the dining room used by the former owners). The Victorian garden is beautiful and very large. There is also a small Gothic church and other buildings, accessible by a walk along the lake.

We visited Kylemore Abbey for the second time and were delighted to accidentally meet Katerina Moskovskova. Katerina gave us an engaging and informative guided tour in Russian, which even kept our three children fully captivated! Thanks to her storytelling, we finally connected all the pieces of Kylemore’s history like a completed puzzle — from the early days to the fascinating stories of the families who lived there. We highly recommend taking a guided tour when visiting Kylemore Abbey!
