We would have liked to see more of the inside, but most of it was blocked off.

You can get this close to the monastery and see the beautiful scenery without paying an entrance fee. Parking is free.

We visited on a very rainy day. The car park was flooded but the view was very nice. Very happy to see this on an irish day, not a sunny one.

A very beautiful place to visit.

As my first stop in Ireland, Kylemore did not disappoint! I was lucky enough to stay on the grounds for a few days and really got the opportunity to take my time and explore. From learning about the history of the abbey to walking through the walled gardens to admiring the Neo-Gothic church, I very much enjoyed my time here. I just hope that should I ever get the chance to return, it is in April or May when the gardens are in full bloom, and when repairs at the church should be complete.

A beautiful location. The palace is more beautiful from the outside than the inside. It's clear that the interior has been restored. The restroom is particularly striking. There's also a neo-Gothic church near the palace. The walled gardens are lovely, and although they're a bit out of the way, there are buses that run fairly frequently.

Kylemore is beautiful there is no doubt. I went off peak and early so I got to walk up to the walled garden alone. I was a little disappointed with the restaurant I am celiac and very few options. Plus the chocolate has barley in it so also not gluten free, this I was terribly disappointed over. With that said it did not detract from the beauty of the place. As you will see it was all set for Christmas.

Very impressive location , well run and great ro see a piece of history being maintained so nicely.

we had a great day at the Abbey! Can’t wait to come back to see the gardens in full bloom! The history talk was excellent and we enjoyed walking through the house and grounds. We had a delicious lunch, continued our visit, and finished off the day with a delicious dessert and Irish cream coffee before heading to the gift shop for some homemade chocolates and soaps!

It was stunning. The abbey and the gardens are both beautiful and easy to visit. The staff is very nice and helpful. I would go back again without a second thought
