Modena in Portumna

Visited recently and had Roast beef . It was excellent . Food was fresh and fabulous . Potatoes and veg were delicious .Beef was so tender and portion size was very generous . Gravy was nicest I've ever had . Chips served on the side by request and not charged for . Definitely can't wait to visit again

I had chowder there at lunchtime on a Wednesday. Very tasty. Nice staff and lovely outdoor seating area. Keep up the good work!

Very clean, very organized restaurant. The menu is quite extensive with both Irish and Indian fare. My wife and I experienced Irish food (seafood chowder with brown bread) and Indian: (butter chicken). Both dishes were hot and fresh - also very reasonable off the lunch menus. Highly recommended restaurant in Portumna.

Called in for lunch whilst visiting the town. On the way in was met by a couple leaving, who said "the food is really good", which was a good sign! They weren't wrong. The chicken burger and beef burger we ordered were both homemade and delicious, as was the rest of the meal. Good value too. What more do you need, would recommend and my parting comment is "the food is really good"

Very old fashioned restaurant, it was empty, few men at the bar. Service was OK, lady did her best. Food was OK, nothing special. I won't be back there.

Good Irish breakfast at a reasonable price. Excellent service in a clean comfortable area. Will be back
