Modena in Portumna

Looking for a place for dinner while on a road trip. Another place down the road suggested this place and we were pleasantly surprised! Great, attentive service. Ordered the turkey dinner! So good! Since I'm diabetic they kindly swapped out the potatoes for more veggies and a salad. It all tasted so good!

We were looking for a restaurant before visiting Portumna Castle. The place seemed closed to us, as there was no one there, but the welcome was friendly. The menu is extensive, but we had chosen a simple but more than sufficient meal for our lunch break.

Excellent curries and very kind service to let us eat without reservation. Tikka masala was excellent .

Visited recently and had Roast beef . It was excellent . Food was fresh and fabulous . Potatoes and veg were delicious .Beef was so tender and portion size was very generous . Gravy was nicest I've ever had . Chips served on the side by request and not charged for . Definitely can't wait to visit again
