Great spot pn the way down the M1.

Very nice food. Generous portions. Great service. Lunchtime menu is much cheaper than the evening dinner menu.

We went here this evening for my husbands 40th birthday meal as part of a family group. I happened to mention in my reservation email that it was his birthday and he loves the restaurant. Warm greeting upon arrival, table set up with party size in mind (6 adults, 3 children and a high chair). Our server, whose name I didn't get unfortunately, can only be described as motherly, so patient, kind and considerate for example she took my sisters dinner away to keep it warm while she was busy with her baby without even being asked. Nothing was too much trouble and when desert was served they had obviously remembered it was a birthday and came out with a candle and singing happy birthday, it just shows great customer service and attention to detail. Our bill was very reasonably priced and we all walked away thoroughly stuffed and satisfied, delighted to have made another family memory and glad it was in the Monasterboice Inn. 100% recommend

Buzzy friendly atmosphere, Chowder fab, full of fresh fish and mussels. The small bowl is a very generous helping! Traditional Sunday Roasts looked great with big portions too. Staff friendly and attentive,

I used to live across the road from here and always make a point of getting dinner or lunch when I'm back up that end of the country. It's more focused on being a full restaurant these days and the bar closes early but food and pints are always spot on

Best pour on a Guinness I've ever seen

We booked a table for 7pm and didn't get seated until 7.45pm. We did place our order at the bar. My husband is gluten intolerant and there wasn't great choice for him. My friends all enjoyed there meals but my chicken burger was creamated. The deserts were gorgeous I personal recommended the chocolate Éclair absolutely to die for. The staff where extremely friendly and had good craic

Food is lovely as are the staff extremely overpriced do. Few other restaurants around doing just as good of food for half the price
