Monk's Lane in Timoleague

The food, atmosphere & service are top notch, and the attention to detail is spectacular. We have been here twice in nearly as many months, and it has been an absolutely pleasurable experience from start to finish! It's a hidden gem in the lovely town of Timoleague and worth the visit. This place gets booked up, so definitely ring ahead, but they are good to accommodate where they can!

Popped in here on way back from a hike. Excellent service, which was great as we were starving. Mushroom starter was absolutely delicious, we wish we had gotten our own instead of sharing. Lamb and hake mains were very tasty, lovely sauce. Dessert topped it all off. Generous serves, Extra efficient, even when I ordered a side salad last minute. Very pleasant atmosphere and lots of staff who were helpful. We will go out of our way to be back for sure!

A special and especially delicious Valentine's dinner. The black pudding pie a treat and the mulled lamb delish. Excellent wine list and variety of serving portions particularly enjoyable.

This restaurant is our all-time favourite. The food, service, and ambience are always excellent. The restaurant itself is cosy and welcoming, and there is a relaxing outdoor dining area too where you can dine with your canine companion (weather permitting). The food is consistently excellent - local, fresh, tasty, and beautifully presented. The staff are friendly and professional, and are blessed with Cork charm! The Blackberry Bramble cocktail is just yum! A trip to Monk's Lane restaurant is always a highlight of our visits back home to West Cork. Treise libh!
