We visited Monkslane for Sunday lunch and felt compelled to leave a review because it was one of the best dining experiences we ever had. On arrival we were delighted by the utterly gorgeous autumnal interiors. We ordered a few sharing plates and main courses and were blown away by the food. In particular the goats cheese and beetroot starter. The seasonal ingredients were so fresh, there was an eclectic mix of locally sourced produce, fused with global cuisine. Providing a fantastic mix of taste and flavours throughout the menu. A real feast for the senses. Each dish was better than the next, they were world class. The staff were genuinely happy and so accommodating. They couldn’t have done enough for us and our baby boy. Such a special place and we can’t wait to visit again

There for family occasion 6 adults & 6 kids 8 or younger..all got meals that they devoured...unusuals for kids...Adults had meals which AS USUAL had most unusual but wonderful flavours

Reservations are a must. The food was excellent and the staff very friendly. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. A must eat at!

This is a wonderful restaurant with a fantastic menu. The food quality was excellent. The staff were amazing and very friendly. Always checking to see if we were enjoying ourselves and if the food was up to standard I’ve eaten at many places across Ireland and different countries and I was Amazed by this establishment. If I could give it a bonus star I would I don’t say that lightly.

We pre-booked a table on Saturday evening, upon entering it was buzzing full of happy diners enjoying their dinner. It had been quite a while since I dined here, so was looking forward to it, it did not disappoint. We were shown to a table in the dining area across from the main restaurant. It was very comfortable space with larger groups of people dining. Staff were so efficient, courteous and really friendly. Lots of wonderful local food to choose from. Fish cake was delicious, looked like a meal in itself. For mains my husband enjoyed the most fantastic steak - perfectly cooked medium rare with Malbec to wash it down. My pork belly was melt in the mouth, stunning. With room for some dessert, cheesecake was homemade and delicious and lemon posset was light and tangy. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and won't leave it so long to return during our visits to West Cork. A true gem with brilliant staff on the Wild Atlantic Way!.

Been hoping to get to Monks Lane for a while and finally made it . What a lovely place from excellent staff to the decor and amazing outdoor area. Food was amazing, great selection for starters, mains , desserts and cocktails. Definitely put this very special restaurant on your list to visit and the maybe a stroll around the town and a visit to Courtmacsherry before or after. I’ll be back !!
