Montmartre in Sligo

Best restaurant in Sligo. Our favourite. You'll not be disappointed.

There were 5 of us. My wife and I had been here before. The food was very French as you might suspect from the name. It was also excellent for everybody as it had been on my previous visit. Portions were larger than I expected. They don’t serve beers etc. The wine list was huge - all French - and the pricing meant that we got a very nice wine at a reasonable cost. Service was excellent and the ambiance was good. It’s a small place so on that windy night it was a little crafty when customers were going in and out. Parking exists outside the door. Highly recommended

I've been here a couple of times now and it never disappoints. The staff are always friendly and helpful with suggestions with the food and wine. You are never rushed and the atmosphere is relaxing. The food is amazing and never disappoints. Fresh and tasty and good portions. Fine dining at its best. They have a lovely selection of wines too something for everyone. I always find this place a realy treat and look forward to going back. Would highly recommend

IMO this place is seriously overrated, I found the whole experience very underwhelming! Maybe it was because we visited with a staff member that we got less than standard service but we paid full price the same as everyone else so should really have been given the same level of service. When I think about it now bad service is fairly standard in french restaurants so I probably shouldn't be too surprised. Either way I found it very expensive when compared with the experience received. If the food was great it would probably have been worth the bad service but it really wasn't anything special. Asked for the veg without pancetta as I don't eat pork, they clearly cooked it in the pancetta and then removed it before putting it on the plate as all I could taste was smoked pancetta on the veg, if I don't eat pork I don't want my food cooked in it and I certainly don't want to pay for it! I won't be back and I definitely won't be recommending it, not to anyone I like anyway 😅

2024 New Year's Eve Dinner for Two. Exquisite food, expertly prepared and presented by friendly and engaging staff. Thoroughly enjoyed our special meal - worth every penny. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

As always Montmartre never disappoints. Excellent food beautifully presented obviously a very good chef (behind the scenes). Great service and lovely atmosphere

Early bird menu is amazing value for absolutely exquisite food.

Amazing must be the best restaurant in Sligo. You cannot just arrive and expect a table.
