the sausage roll was SPECTACULAR! Literally didn't have time to get a proper lunch before travelling and Moody Cafe saved me :) Thanks to the waitress that took out my sausage roll from the oven quickly to get to the bus on time!

Lovely wine bar in Cork city near the train station. Excellent tapas (the best charcuterie and cheese board for a while) and a really nice wine list. Online booking facility is ideal but there is a time limit on the table which means you can't linger.

We went in and ordered hot chocks and cakes. They made us drinks in paper cups and served the pieces of cakes in paper plates. It was 6.45pm and I and my two kids were cold. So the idea to find a cafe seemed to be nice. Just after I paid they asked us to leave, cause all the tables were reserved. The waiter said we can stay outside( the temperature was -1!!!). So, I reasonably mentioned that they should have said they have no place for three of us inside before I paid, not after. The worst service I've ever had!

30/04/2025: We’ve been to Cork & Fork several times before, but this time we stopped by just for dessert and drinks. We were served by Kasia, who is without a doubt one of the most polite and professional waitresses in Cork City – very courteous, with excellent manners and great knowledge of her work. We tried two different cakes – the Ferrero & Rafaelo cake and the raspberry with caramel cake. Both were absolutely delicious, with perfect flavors and beautiful presentation. The atmosphere was as pleasant as always. Highly recommended!
28/04/2025: Very cosy and clean restaurant. The starters were tasty but the main courses were a mixed bag. The fish was an excellent dish but the chicken was bland. I’ll definitely give the place another try.

The Barn

14/04/2025: What a gem. Gorgeous food, beautiful views, lovely staff, quick service. But, best of all? It's dog friendly! Staff were very kind to our little pooch and brought her a little bowl of water straight away. You should definitely visit!
13/04/2025: Absolutely DELICIOUS carvery with a huge selection of fresh meats and vegetables. Polite friendly staff and bustling atmosphere. Our dog especially loved snoozing on the heated floor whilst we dined. Would 100% recommend and will come back for sure.
