Morrisey's in Abbeyleix

A real traditional Irish Pub with a great pint

My husband and I stayed in Abbeyleix last weekend and called into morriseys numerous times. The lovely barmaid Shauna was in every night and even did a day and night shift on the Saturday! She told us the amazing history of Morrisseys and told us about the new renovations, we will definitely be back for upcoming food. She gave us great recommendations of walks to do in Laois. Such a wonderful and hardworking young girl juggling work life and her final year in university. She deserves every promotion and more! She went above and beyond to welcome us and was a pleasure to be around. A credit to morriseys!

What a wonderful surprise! A step into history to what was once a shop and a bar. Old posters and artefacts of olden says. the premises still of the original design with a modern twist of delightful barista, coffee and an enjoyable pint.

Super welcome and great Guinness. Check the history of the place... It's an amazing story. Currently renovating so no food or back garden at the moment.

Beautiful old pub. Friendly staff, great atmosphere, the place was buzzing when we arrived. Will definitely be back again
