20/08/2026: The food was excellent . Coffee ok. Sat at a window seat. However there were disposable cups napkins crumbs etc left by previous diners that staff did not remove in the 40 minutes we were there, we moved them to one side. The Coffee is a bit expensive. Nonetheless a great premises, friendly staff and atmosphere 👌
18/08/2026: You can tell a good place, by the queues. I go here once a week and the food, service and quality can not be faulted. If you are visiting Laois anywhere it’s worth the spin to try the food, and the pastries.

Had the Guinness, not bad at all, lacks a little atmosphere but not a bad pub.

01/09/2026: I googled nice restaurants in Carlow / Kilkenny and i go the Michelin List website, i saw Bramley's listing and said to myself, I've heard about this place, but could not recall any detals, so just booked it and it was fantastic, we had the tasting menu. the food was amazing and the staff were just great. We will definitely be back and would recommend you to visit also.
07/08/2026: Very expensive tastless no seasoning tiny portions the fish was a sliver pork not bad but the flavours weren't there

Alex and Sheila, along with their wonderful team, made everything so easy and special. Their genuine warmth and thoughtful hospitality made us and all our guests feel completely at home. As a family-run hotel they went above and beyond to ensure every detail was just right.
The food was simply outstanding – beautiful, delicious, and perfectly executed. Every single one of our guests said the same: the food was top-class and truly beautiful. It was one of the highlights of the day and something everyone is still talking about.
Everything about our wedding day here felt seamless and special. The setting, the service, the atmosphere – nothing was left wanting. We couldn’t have asked for a more perfect place to celebrate.

05/08/2026: Alex, Sheila and the team were outstanding for our wedding from the get go, We wanted for nothing and the day went even better than we could have ever imagined. All of our guests were singing their praises.
They made us feel so welcome from day 1.

25/07/2025: The pizza and chips are really good, it's a perfect balance of homemade and fast food, it doesn't feel like eating grease but it also doesn't feel too traditional, its the perfect treat!

16/08/2026: Ham and cheese toasty was really delicious! Real roast ham on a proper bread! The coffee wasn't my favorite and was a bit cold when served, bus look, it was fine, the place was also busy - had to wait for two coffee and the toasties more than 20mins. Little criticism, it's really sad they only sell their pizza from 5pm...
Anyways, nice spot to go to after your walk at the bog!
20/06/2026: Lovely covered outdoor seating and very dog friendly. I just had tea and a scone ( tasty) but all the other food looked good too. Just perfect after a walk around the beautiful bog opposite.

Came In here once to escape the chills of winter, but with nice stools and counters to have your coffee or hot chocolate at, I've come back time and time again.
Great drinks at great prices with the woman who works here always coming across as kind and approachable.
19/11/2023: Excellent coffee in a shop packed with interesting wines and a great range of quality fancy foods. Lovely staff too.
