A lovely surprise! A truly interesting restaurant. Excellent food and friendly, knowledgeable staff.
I chose the tasting menu to get a taste of their offerings. They served a variety of fish and meat dishes. I was truly satisfied. I'll definitely be back!

My friend and I dined here with an 8 p.m. reservation and finished around 11:45 p.m. We chose the tasting menu, but the courses came out quite slowly. Several of the dishes had a noticeably sour flavor — maybe that was part of the chef’s theme. The atmosphere itself was lovely.

We visited for pre show dinner as it is very close to The Gate theatre. We were blown away by this gem of a restaurant, lovely period decor, great staff and fantastic food. It fell short on atmosphere but it was mid week and our booking was for 5 30pm. I look forward to revisiting and having a more leisurely experience, one not dictated by a showtime.

We had a really nice meal in Mr Fox. The food was beautiful, expertly cooked and presented. It was as good as anywhere you will get in Dublin City centre. However, it is not without fault. When we first entered the restaurant, we were met with the overwhelming stench of urine from the men’s toilet. It was revolting and not in keeping with other high end restaurant experiences. The layout and decor of the restaurant is also lacking. It doesn’t feel premium and is at odds with the food being served, which is excellent. The waiting staff, although pleasant, were inattentive and not well drilled. I would highly recommend the food but unfortunately cannot say the same for the restaurant.

I have tried both the Prix fix (with paintings) and al a Carte.
Prix fix was an excellent introduction and clearly kept me coming back for more.
A la Carte, most of the snacks were ordered. Everyone was devine. The batter on the langoustines very light and gave way to the light freshness of the flesh itself.
Staff have been excellent and very attentive. However, I feel that I should only need the Sommelier for wines by the bottle. It seems the servers may not have been trained appropriately for wine service.
This is never a fault upon the server themselves, rather a reflection of training.

Ресторан Mr Fox находится недалеко от центра города и специализируется на европейской кухне. Заведение разместилось в подвальном помещение. Интерьер уютный, но за счет низких потолков, в основном зале достаточно шумно. Обслуживание было очень обходительным. Кухня понравилась как презентацией, так и вкусовыми качествами. Заказывали жареного осьминога и на основное рыбу со спаржей, телячьи щечки с гратеном и отдельно гратен. Все было вкусно, но ме больше нравится более прожаренный гратен. Цены немного выше среднего. Хорошее место. Бронируйте столик заранее так как ресторан пользуется большой популярностью.

Hay mucho que me gusta del Sr. Fox. Es bastante elegante y pulido con comida muy bien preparada. También es un poco precioso con cócteles débiles y de tamaño casi dedal sin cereza en mi Manhattan a medida que se agotan, y tamaños de porción exiguos. El vino, especialmente por copa, está muy marcado, y nos cobraron 2 euros por el agua corriente porque estaba filtrada. Sin precedentes para mí. Además, ¿qué tal un especial o dos? 5 opciones de entradas, dos son italianos y uno de chateaubriand para dos. Dicho todo esto, la comida era bastante buena y muy bien mostrado. Sin embargo, me fui con hambre.
