Absolutely fantastic dining experience here. My friend Ally and I had the Lamb and it was 10/10. The owner is the chef here and he is an awesome host, the food is also next level. I highly recommend Murph’s bar. If you want the best dining experience in Cavan in beautiful surroundings this is the place to come to. Regards Alan.
It would be great if the sandwich menu had an option using regular sliced bread - I really don't like eating a big chunky sandwich made from some of the fancy hip bread available now!
Impeccably clean pub serving excellently cooked and presented food to a really high standard. Good service and friendly staff. Booking advised. Our visit was on a Sunday after a wedding in a renowned local venue on Saturday and we must admit our meal in Murphys trumped our wedding meal by a long way. Well worth a visit.
Stopped in for a light lunch on our way to Killashandra to re visit my father's place of youth,ordered what I thought was the dish with the least on Ham and Turkey with trimmings. Came out in reasonable time the meat was rolled into a sizeable mass and filled with a the most beautiful tasting stuffing. Can't recommend enough excellent service served by friendly staff in outstanding countryside if you are travelling Cavan in the R.O.IRELAND.
Excellent food and service. Restaurant was very busy and we were met and assured the wait would not be too long. We were seated in less than 10 min and had food on the table 10 min later. The food was all excellent. Lovely menus.
