Murphy's Chip Bar in Cork

3 stars for the salt and vinegar situation. Murphy’s has been a family go to for years and years. I’ve started going back recently. I can’t understand why they won’t salt and vinegar the food while it’s hot out of the oil. The sloppy foley was a 10/10, but with the lack of salt and vinegar chips inside it, it’s easily brought down to at 6/10. Please bring back the use of salt and vinegar behind the counter. Sachets are no good.

Food good in general but place looks like it could do with a good clean. Guy inside the counter really nice and friendly. Food is of a good standard and fresh.

Great value for money, the kebab was.fresh and tasty, very quick service and kind owner.

Proper chips. The burger is a thing to behold!

Great chips. It s a local hidden gem. Make sure to check it out. We like to come here for the chips. They keep the chips at a reasonable price, which really makes a difference. We visit here in the evenings; so, it can get a bit busy. The team here is friendly and quick. They are super effecient at what they do. We also like coming here because it is a local hidden spot. Everyone in the neighborhood knows one another.

Going down hill here, Food standard slipping and no interest in taking phone orders now. Pity

It's alright when the chips are properly cooked. Atrocious trying to place an order over the phone because of noise levels, would suggest turning the tv down a bit. Can't beat the price though, the most reasonable in Cork.

Fresh and inexpensive! Glad I stopped here! Looks great inside and portions are plenty! The chips are huge! Under €10, but I added the garlic sauce for dipping for €2.80. Great price for a good meal!

1. The Staff: the staff are always great. They are Always very approachable and helpful and friendly. 2. Cleanliness: This chipper is Always very clean. 3. Food: There is a big selection of food and drinks. Sometimes its to hard to choose. 4. Prices: i find everything on the menu to be reasonable. An order must be over ten euro before you can use a laser card. 5. Car Parking: there is car parking all along the street. 6. Others: best chipper ever. 7. Complaints: garlic mushrooms are needed on the menu :)
