I can’t quite put my finger on why I like the place so much; it’s a vibe though. Food is alright (though the chowder really is very good)
But the look and feel of the place makes me feel all kinds of warm and fuzzy; especially love the back extension, it’s such a cosy, happy little spot for some lunch

Great welcome, interesting and eclectic take on the best of Irish cuisine - with an occasional twist.
We visited this restaurant after a good walk on Pollan beach and had a most enjoyable brunch.
This restaurant should be visited and I understand that some reviewers were disappointed if it was overwhelmed by its popularity.

Stopped here for breakfast whilst doing the Innishowen peninsula loop. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. Super homely, welcoming & had a little stove lit. The breakfast was lovely, best fry I've had in a while. Everything was warm & to top it off the tea was nice. Would totally recommend stopping for breakfast if you are passing by.
Good food, solid irish breakfast the normal and the vegan version (the sausages in that one are actually really nice). Atmosphere is really nice as well with a good location and some parking around. What lets it down is the service, its a little bit slow and doesn't pay attention. Observing the cleaning of 3 servers that morning was painful as well.
We came here for the chowder and we were not disappointed. I’m not a chowder connoisseur but it was pretty good. The Irish cottage ambience also adds to the charm of this place
09/08/2024: We went as a family of 12..From 2 y old ( they have high chairs) to 65 y old. The setting overlooking the double links course with floor to ceiling windows was stunning. The service was first class. We ordered 6 different meals and every plate was emptied! VERY reasonably priced it it suitable for locals/golfers and passing tourists! I had worse Michelin star meals in London basements! Drop of at the front door.. lift.. and stunning balcony for a smoke! Please support it!
