We had the most amazing meal celebrating two family birthdays, the food was excellent and very prompt, the staff where friendly and very attentive, the setting is quirky, quaint and very cosy, highly recommend a visit 😊
So glad I stumbled onto this place somewhere on social media before going to the area- I absolutely loved this gem of a spot! Cosy atmosphere with the stone walls and artwork, amazing service, great food- the chowder is good (award winning even, but I'm from New England so my standards for chowder are quite high lol) but the goats cheese salad with chicken that I had was the biggest and most delicious salad I've ever had in my life! I also got a couple pastries to go and they were divine. Highly recommend this spot- the service was excellent, food was excellent- you won't be disappointed!
Nice restaurant to take a break on the Inishowen drive. Few minutes drive from the Pollan Strand. Food was fresh and staff were courteous. Tried the famous chowder and prawns and burgers and chips.
The food was really delicious and the ambience is wonderfully rustic. The music selection (country music) was also very good. 👍🏼
Really an absolute recommendation!
We hadn't booked and thought we would chance it while passing and the staff where more than helpful. Got us in no bother and we where served our food in good time. The chef came out from the kitchen with little sample soups that tasted so good and chatted with us. Starters were beautiful and the mains were perfect, portions where just right. Deserts where served so well also presentation was 10/10. Staff and service outstanding.
Great welcome, interesting and eclectic take on the best of Irish cuisine - with an occasional twist.
We visited this restaurant after a good walk on Pollan beach and had a most enjoyable brunch.
This restaurant should be visited and I understand that some reviewers were disappointed if it was overwhelmed by its popularity.
Go early!
We came here for the chowder and we were not disappointed. I’m not a chowder connoisseur but it was pretty good. The Irish cottage ambience also adds to the charm of this place
09/08/2024: We went as a family of 12..From 2 y old ( they have high chairs) to 65 y old. The setting overlooking the double links course with floor to ceiling windows was stunning. The service was first class. We ordered 6 different meals and every plate was emptied! VERY reasonably priced it it suitable for locals/golfers and passing tourists! I had worse Michelin star meals in London basements! Drop of at the front door.. lift.. and stunning balcony for a smoke! Please support it!
