Incredible! It's very interesting, with art from different eras and styles. The facilities are lovely, the place is clean, and it has the necessary security.

Beautiful and spacious. Accessible to everyone and essentially free.
I would recommend a voluntary donation to support them. It's more than worth it.

One of my favourite places in the world. On this visit I spent two and a half happy hours wandering through about a quarter of the galleries, so if you're planning a visit, allow plenty of time. You will see lots of paintings and sculpture that look familiar. Here are the originals. All the displays are worth viewing close up. There are free safe lockers to stash your belongings so you don't have to carry them around with you. Also, a lovely cafe on the ground floor which offers a good range of fresh food daily. I had a trio of salads and a glass of white wine for about €22 (I was on my holidays). It's a busy spot, but tables fill up and then empty pretty quickly. A sign on each table tells you there's a 45-minute time limit. Back to the art. There are so many amazing things to see - everyone has different tastes. You will be delighted by what you find. For me, my favourite painting is by William Leech (Irish) 1881 to 1968, called A Convent Garden, Brittany, around 1913. In the Gallery Shop - leave yourself enough time to browse - I was able to buy a fridge magnet version of this painting, and could have also bagged a number of pieces of merchandise featuring the Gallery's abundance of riches. Posters, diaries, souvenirs, art supplies, children's resources, and an extensive selection of books about art, of course. Everything about the National Gallery of Ireland is first class. Take some time to enjoy it, next time you get the chance. Admission is free.

Great collection and neatly ordered. I did think there's a relative lack of bathrooms, I had a hard time finding a spot to refill my water bottle, and navegation was not very clear cut in some parts of the building.
